Tuesday Ted......a bit of cross madness?I could lead a ride somwhere suitable for both cross and mtb's? We don't discriminate here, we accept all types(but singlespeeders will always be frowned upon!)
Yoda, shop at 6:30 latest, do Baildon Moor cyclo-cross, head torches, running, cross bike slung nonchalantly over the right shoulder, arm under the downtube holding the end of the drop bar, for some up hill efforts - Bottomley style!
singlespeed 29'ers will be jeered at and have old fruit and veg thrown at them. i believe that was how they were treated in the middle ages too.
For anyone who isn't cross i will lead from Fanny's at 7.30 tomorrow evening. Obviously the cross boys can tie in with this if they want. See you there! Greg

Thought I'd share my good news on the bike front. The police have just left after bringing round my Scott and taking a statement. Ed's misspent time on Ebay got my bike spotted, and through his efforts got the police onto it and hence I have one of my bikes back. Thanks Ed Much cleaner than when it went missing, but the forks appear to have suffered from their time in bad company and are completely seized. They arrested the bloke whose house they collected the bike from but he's just been cautioned for handling stolen goods, they're still going after the seller. It was not the same kitchen as the bike was in on Ebay photos. So I have a mountain bike again now.... I might even get out on a night ride one of these days. I think I'm due my yearly appearance!

Fanny's Ale House see you there...7:30 (car park has hight restricted barrier so all those with roof mount bike racks DO NOT go into car park!!!)
No way I'll make 6.30 Ed. I have to collect lights and bike and give the dog a run before I cn get out. (anyone want a dog?) Will probably be good for 7 or might join Greg at Fannys.
ok 7 at mine then lightwieght
excellent news jenny. new forks though...
hey jenny, do you think they could nick my bike, it's filthy! wouldn't mind getting it back clean for next Tuesday though. Seriously though that's good news and retores a bit of faith in plod. It's lucky Ed operates in some dodgy circles too!
It dosent restore my faith in the plod, I had to threaten them with a complaint to their commanding officer if they didnt go and get the bike and arrest the shit head. They were not going to do anything.
hmmm, that bit isn't so good. fails to fill you with confidence doesn't it?
I retract my earlier statement in view of recent information! thanks for leading last night Greg, that uphill was easy on the cross bike, not sure Darren thought so though!

thanks for the ride last night Greg...i am trying to mentally block out the road section from Harden to the top of St Ives because i really enjoyed the rest of it!!!!
My wobbly wheel update... This is the rear hub on my bike - Shimano M525 Which bits do i need to adjust??? You mentioned a special spanner i need last night, but i've forgotten what you all said!!!
You need a pair of cone spanners, two 17mm and a 15mm and an axle vice helps too
 thanks Eddy ...a pair??? You've put "two 17mm and a 15mm"...that's 3???
I'm sorry I criticised Gregs choice of route, it was very good, and I don't lead much myself. Thanks for the lead Greg. I have to say I hated the road climb but the rest was great and surprisingly dry.
 I meant a pair of 17mm and a 15mm sorry
