Bah typical - I'm always on-call on the weekends when it's great weather! If anyone's interested, I'm selling my riding specs after getting a good deal on some Oakleys. Bloc Shifter riding glasses with 4 interchangeable lenses. Lenses all in good cond, although the persimmon right lens has a slight scuff, which isn't noticeable when riding. Includes padded case plus lens case so you can carry two spare sets of lenses. £60 new so how about £30? pics here: http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/210444124

Some nice riding up there Pennie. Did you Dab on Cam head? Its a serious lung, calf, spleen busting climb that. I STILL havent managed to get it done without dabbing after 9 attempts

What happened Tuesday? I was stuck in York with work but no one has posted up saying how great it was, and how the mud was perfect for the time of year. Did it happen?

Ok I'm taking the plunge. Tomorrow night from the Junction in Otley. 7.30pm A variation on the usual Chevin route to take in Staircase Lane at Bramhope and hopefully still have time to do the "Kipper" run. Will invovle some climbing but should be worth it for the descents! Pretty slippery this afternoon. Also some lovely mud in places.

hey Gill, are doing the Haworth Mudman this year? there's an event with (almost) your name on it ever I saw one. Although having seen the bike route, none of it's prone to serious mud anyway - maybe the run's muddy...
|
 |
Rob, Where does the bike route go Andy
|
 |
I think: Penistone, Bodkin/Stairs Lane, Roms Greave, Sawood, Black Moor... mostly decent stony tracks, + the odd hill, shouldn't be a bogfest. There's a map on my link.

Looks just my sort of event but sadly we are away that weekend. Will have to look out for it next year

Excellent ride MM, that kipper trail is a sod to find isn't it?! First 'proper' winter ride too, I was covered in mud at the end.
Bit of a longshot but does anyone have a spare disc caliper adapter going spare?
I need a post-mount to post-mount 180mm with bolts. Normally I'd pick one up from tinterweb but if RM fun & games continue it might not arrive until Christmas :-/
