Cheers Rob for the Magic Mystery tour last night it felt like more than 9 miles but it certainly made the Black Sheep taste good.

pretty much the same...but pitch black too!!!!!!
Aye, it was good fun, Pitty i missed that right turn but hey we now know you can turn at the boardwalk and have a cracking decent (or climb in our case!). The mud was good mud though as it was well watered so didn't clog things too much.
How is it I manage to miss every single Ilkley Moor ride?! I smell a conspiracy, although it might be the keema peas vindaloo I had last night...
Fancy repeating your ride in a week or two IceKing?
i think when it freezes next we can do the ride, its going to trash the moor a bit too much if we ride it in the wet again. So bring on the ice
talking of mud, there were suggestions that it's time for a Sun Inn ride - so tomorrow I suggest... the Sun Inn Norwood 7:30 Planning to add a small new-to-some (all weather) loop, and also avoid the worst bike eating bogs - maybe miss the open moor and that gloopy Timble Ings track. And if we do the 'gateway of gloop' downwards, we'll only get slightly stuck. As has been mentioned, the mud should be reasonably well diluted anyway so should be reet.

Well I can't make tomorrow either! Suppose I can leave you to recce the route Surely if you miss out all the boggy bits from the Sun Inn you'll have no trails left to ride
Indeed. The only way you'd avoid 'soft going' would be to stick to the flat gravel tracks round the lakes. Ok, but a bit boring. the mud's part of the fun anyway, only gets annoying if there's pushing (paddling?) involved, that's why I'm trying to do the worst bits downwards, even if it means missing a few favourite bogs - desperate measures after the recent weather ; ) I think there'll still be enough gloop for mud-fiends tho'...

That'll be me! Hoping to be there.
