It was an absolutely top laugh. In the end I teamed up with an Olympic marathon runner called Helen who's sponsored by Salomon/Saab (!). She was scarily fit, as you might expect! Got 170 points, is that good/poo? There's another event next week, and one the week after if anyone fancies it (both wednesday eve)...
I can't play out this weekend as I have to fix my car (MOT time), but I will be up for doing whatever next week.

We got 160 points, but our route choice wasn't much good.
I don't know what the winners got, but Steve Willis who organises these events around north yorkshire for ebor, got 220 points.
There are events of different lengths all good fun - see www.trailquest.co.uk.
This saturday theres a 2 hour event at cropton forest organised by steve, details on the above website.

I may have seen you there Carol - what were you riding/wearing? I was on a big matt black rigid bike wering baggies and a 'vintage' GT shirt. I was with a girl on a knackered rigid Orange Clockwork with skipping gears.
I'll definitely be doing another...

I was with Doug my other half (he's done one evening ride with the group). We we're both on marin mountvisions - very dirty from dalby forest at the weekend.
I am tall and had a yellow helmet on. Did you stay for a drink?
Hopefully we'll see you next Wednesday. Pity you can't do cropton forest on saturday, steve willis, ebor events are always very friendly and well organised.

I didn't stay for a drink - I needed to get home and eat lots of food! I'm not sure whether I saw you or not to be honest - we seemed to bump into a few people quite a lot. Others I only saw at the start/finish.

All the details for next wednesdays events are hereIt's great to see a series of summer evening events being organised.

Arrrgggghhh. Anyone with a knowledge of html who can tell me why the second line of my post is underlined ?

I have got my entry form for Harden, just hope work allows.... I am the bag of bones on a gary fisher hope to see you guys there
Apart from the TQ at Harden, is anyone riding this week?
I don't think I can ride at all this week - I came off at Afan Argoed at the weekend, and knackered my wrist (again). I'll post up here if it mends - but i think I'm out of action 'till next week at least. Its a complete arse.
 Hope it mends soon
Anyone do the Harden Trailquest yesterday? Or indeed anything else? Was it good?
We did the TQ. It poured down for at least an hour of the two, but still good fun.
Hadn't ridden the area before and enjoyed it - the hills didn't seem to go on for too long and there were some good technical tracks that Doug enjoyed - I was useless as usual.
We're off to the alps for a week - Dougs doing the freeraid classic from Chatel on sunday - theres too much serious downhill for me.
If anyones able to get to westow near malton next wednesday then Steve Willis (ebor) has an event organised. His events are very well run and friendly - theres another ebor event on Sat 13th July near Thirsk that we will be going to.
I may see you at Ilkley on 10th if you're fit and well.
Hows your wrist?
bah! off to the alps for a week? not fair!
i went to Harden and apart from being wet, it was great fun. But every one disappeared and no one to go to the pub. I will be at Ikley next week. so maybe if anyone wants a pint then let me know
 Hopefully I'll be there!
