after 50+ road miles earlier in the week & almost 14 mud miles last night, my legs weren't up to another 50+ road miles today; besides, I had nowhere to stash my laptop (too big for a M.U.L.E)
Apologies for late notice......the next Chevin Cycles Trails and Ales ride will be on Sunday 13th July.
We'll be leaving the car park/visitors centre at Scar House Reservoir at 10:00am for a 20 mile ride over to West Burton and back. The route will be quite tough (plenty of hills!) but the pace will be "social". Remember to take plenty of food, drink and appropriate clothing because we'll be out for at least five hours.
Also, give yourself plenty of time to get to Scar house. It's about 40mins away from Pateley Bridge.
A few of us are planning on doing a ride from Hebden Bridge on Saturday. 10 am start, meeting at Blazing Saddles. It's a route Mrs F & I tried out last year and it's a bit fun.
yes thanks john, bingley jet station was open, well door locked had to pay through glass till window, aghh security.....great ride (swim) though thanks john/rob
It wasn't that muddy was it?! Most of it seemed fairly dry to me.
Could anyone tell me how long it's likely to take me to get to Scar House Reservoir from Leeds? I might be able to make the Chevin ride on Sunday, depending on the hangover situation. Googlemaps says 60mins but Jonathan suggested it'll take ages on the back roads.

I have never done the journey but plan to on Sunday and the RAC route planner thinks it will take 62 minutes (from Alwoodley to HG3 5SW) - but that takes me through Harrogate. Route may be different for those further west.
