a wanted ad... does anyone in the neighborhood have an almost dead car battery they want shut of? something lurking in the shed? i.e not much good for starting cars, but may work a bulb for while. Doesn't matter what size/fitting - I got plenty space. My van leisure battery has died, and it's short notice to source a new one before Mayhem. It just needs to work the lights in the back - I get paranoid about running the main battery all the time. Not essential really, just nice to have.

rob my neighbour has one, not been charged for 2yrs tho so no idea if it'll hold charge...
 Hi guys,
Anything decided for Tuesday night's ride yet? Thanks.
Rob If you are still in need of a battery there's one here that you can borrow that's in good nick. We won't be needing it for a while.
John, batteries charging though expect may only need lights for riding home from the pub.

thanx Gill, I'll borrow your's for the weekend if I may. Ric can I scrounge the neighbours battery also, doesn't need to be this week now, next time I see you will do. I doubt it could survive 2yrs flat, but I'd be daft not to try it first, assuming he's gonna chuck it anyway.
Not sure if he's going to chuck it or not but I'll check with him and get back to you. From memory can't you just top up the fluid with some distilled water?
Hi John, OK great thanks. IS it 7.30pm as usual?
Ric yes can top up no problem, but it won't necessarily revive it if it's been flat that long. I killed mine from a mere few months of being flat. Depends how good it was before storage I guess. I'll give him something for it no probs, but would like to know it works first ; )
Yes, 7.30pm - sorry about that.
OK thanks - I'll be there for that one.

John
Sorry I missed the ride last night - only got home aT 7:30 and did not log in until 10 - otherwise I would have come looking for you - even if just for a drink!
Thanks for leading last night John. Nice route even stayed dry too! Cheers, Mark
