hi everyone...new member here i live in Eldwick and i'm looking to improve my fitness and MTB skills around my local area...i've been reliably informed that this is the place to find out about local rides...anything happening this week??
often than not, there's a Tues & Thurs night ride. seems a bit quiet at the moment, so not sure if owt's happening tonight - could be last minute if it does. Thurs night should be definite tho', I think John's doing something, if not then I will. more details to follow..
cool...i'll wait for Thursday then...nothing too strenuous...take it easy on the newbie...lol
I will try and motivate myself to knock some of the malvern hills off on Thursday, my legs should be rested by now?
Bit of a drive for a Thursday night ride Darren
Malvern hills' are pretty good night riding tho'...
I may have to pass on Thursday. Dodgy foot won't fit in shoes without mucho pain.
If it recovers I'll be out but can't guarantee it, so I better not volunteer to lead

Malvern hills' are pretty good night riding tho'... I'd prefer daylight myself...
light/dark, it's all good. The tracks are all ours in the dark... but the views aren't always as nice ; )
 i've got no lights...
 not a problem just yet...
ok, so Thurs night will be from the good old Shoulder of Mutton bottom of Hollins hill. 7:30 Not started there yonks, so not sure what the local nettles are like - I'm sure they're just fine ; ) Can stick a few newly found bits in if people fancy a change.

cool...see you there...what should i expect (distance, terrain, difficulty etc...) just done an 8 mile loop around baildon moor and legs are aching!!!!
if starting at the Shoulder, I guess lots of woodsy stuff & not too much of Baildon Moor 10-15 miles give or take, is the norm I'm hoping to be there foot permitting; may risk the BB on the Cake rather than SPuD moments on the h/t

or swap the pedals over? W73, yeah as John says, no Baildon moor & unlikely to be much over 10 mile. The woods can be techy in places, so it's never fast going. I'd guess at a similar amount of leg input to Baildon moor, but with added trees and stuff. did I mention that there could be nettles?
nettles!!!! you go first then having never been before i don't know who any of you are so i guess i just look out for a bunch of guys with bikes in the car park???
