 lights might be useful, as it's getting dark at about 8pm these days - shorter version of the last ride I did, so we should be finished by about 8.15...

 John - I've looked at the train times and they seem to be viable Leeds - Shipley (only takes 15 mins!). I'll ring the operators tonight to find out about putting my bike on the train...

Good stuff. Should take about 5-10 mins to ride from Shipley station - follow signs for Otley & Baildon (A6037 I think). Give me a ring if you get lost...
ps The Man With The Leopard Skin Saddle was last seen going for a train with his bike in Baildon...!!! spooky

Well, I took my lights out last night and they worked great....
Until one of the connections worked loose that is.
B*gger.
I've beefed the connections up a bit more now, so hopefully there'll be no repeat performance of that.
They're damn bright though!

Sorry John, But I don't think I'm going to be able to make it.
I've been waiting for the motor factors to get the parts in for my car and I have to go and get them after work.
I *need* to get them today so I have chance to fix it today/tomorrow as I have to go to a silver wedding anniversary in Wigan tomorrow (and it will take ages and is stupidly expensive to get the train).
It's a fecker 'cause I missed this route last time (and from what you all said it's a really good one).
If for some reason the parts *still* aren't there, or I fix it in time, I'll try to make it down - but don't hold your breath!

I'll be there but my mate may not. He's being dragged to Liverpool this aft with work.
I've put some cheapo lights on, but i'm sure a birthday cake candle would be more effective.
