I'm trying to put together a route round Baildon / Eldwick, starting at the car park in Baildon village centre, over Baildon moor past Dobrudden farm, back across the moor towards Dick Hudson's, down through Eldwick via Heights Lane, Shipley Glen & back to Baildon - should be about 10-12 miles if I get it right.
Anyone interested in doing this route this week or next?
John, I do a circuit similar to the one you suggest but I start from the bottom of the Shipley Glen Tramway which I access from Saltaire Village as I live at Heaton, Bradford. Julian and Steve are you both up for this one on Thursday??
I should be up for it as long as i can get my car fixed. The b@stard broke down on me yesterday when trying to get home from camping, and I had to be towed. The damn thing has also just cost me £700 for MOT, tax, and insurance.... AAArrrrrggghh.
If it's any consolation my car wouldn't start after the Red Bull. Tried jumping it using another car but no go.
Had to wait two hours for the garage to arrive and then it turns out it was a flat battery after all but my jump leads weren't thick enough ! Slightly embarressed to say the least.
Yes, that's the one - Ian Clough Hall car park; as you come up the hill from Shipley, you almost go right round the roundabout & double back on yourself
There'll probably be a load of kids hopping about on their trials bikes...
