8.30 in the morning here, still cant get used to the time difference.
Watched the pro d/h race yesterday,in addition to riding the usual & not so familiar trails that we have been sessioning.Rachel Atherton won the ladies race by a mile,Gee Atherton won the mens race from Sam Hill. The bike park was well busy, like the M60 at rush hour!
Weather is back to its usual blue skies, dry dusty trails await.Four Dutch guys arrived on Friday,& on their 1st day in the bike park yesterday one of em broke his collar bone. That compares with Sandra in our group, who last Sunday,on the 2nd day here, broke her left shoulder.
The trail grading here is similar to back home, but their blues compare with a uk red, then they jump up to black diamond & double black diamond, which I cant compare with any uk grades cos they are so damn difficult, altho I have been giving em a go!Theres a 8 to 10 foot drop off on the A line trail that I need to do before the weeks out, building up to it!!Tabletop jumps are getting easier once the technique is there, one in particular is easy to overjump & land on the flat, which I try to do every run, also getting the knack of doing tailwhips where you change direction in the air.
i am out now up kemple end the trails are in there prime summer state and the weather will be beating on my back while the heat is killing me.
to translate that i mean
.i am out now up kemle the trails are f**king shite and full of mud ,the rain will be beating down on my back while i have my goretex on and its like a sauna in it
Enjoy it while it last Gaz ( i am not jealous honest) oh size medium t shirt please.

as I understand it they posted uncalled for comments about one of our members on their forum which upset her so I'm not well disposed towards them. Correct me if I'm wrong ?
Hi Willy, there is loads of choice of designs for t shirts,so ill get you one.
Had a high speed off yesterday on the A-line trail, not injured tho, apart from hurt pride!
Crankworx continues with the womens freestyle event today,so maybe ill watch it at somepoint, its like hottie central out here, not a heavy treader in sight!
A d/h race is being held on the A-line tomorrow, with practice today, the "Jim Beam Air d/h" which some of our guys have decided to enter. It means that the course will be closed to us mere mortals,so Lindsay and I will have to ride some more of the 250km of trails that are in the bike park.....its a hard life!!
Oh,nearly forgot,on the last run down yesterday, came round a corner almost at the end of the trail,& came face to face with a feckin HUGE brown bear.Thank f k for Hayes 9 brakes!I set off with the speed of a thousand gazelles in the other direction!
Its 10:55 pm Thurs night here.Been out riding the bike park all day in temperatures of 35 degrees, effin bliss!!Unfortunately,Willy, could not get you a t shirt in the correct size, all they had was S or XL in all the various designs that were available.
Bike & kit packed up all ready to go back to the shitty uk,,the way & quality of life out here is amazing, met up with Doug,Karen & Mark G a few days ago who are well settled in to their new life out here.
Prior to my last run down shared a chairlift with Darcy Turenne,Canadian freerider, downhiller, presenter of the Ride Guide MountainBike Show on extreme sports sky channel,& general all round HOTTIE.Tried to keep pace with her on the A-line dh track.......no chance!!Check out hellodarcy.com............nice!!
