Noticed in the local rag tonight that the official opening for Gisburn is on Sat 19th of this month. Speaking of Gisburn, did the club ride there yesterday,9 of us out,& only yours truly took the time to ride up & do the slab drop!(Altho 1 other rider pushed his bike up the side then did it,& a 2nd rider walked/rode up the trail to it but then bottled out at the top!)Was on the h/t,now with gravity dropper fitted,so was able to ride straight up to it (cleaned it btw),click the lever....& straight down! Some of the trails were very muddy already, namely the s/t climb up to Whelpstone Crag, also the roller coaster section down the gulley.Tim at the pub reckons thats not a bad thing on the climb up to the crag,as once the mud washes away there's rock underneath.

gaz did you do the new volunteer section and the drop to the right at the end ?
| Edited: 07/09/09 17:32 |
No,the new section was 'blocked off'sort of with branches placed at the entrance to it. So I took that as to mean it shouldn't be ridden.
WTF are they like? Come on I want names who rode it besides you? And who chickened out?
gaz , its finished they must have decided to let it settle for a while before opening it
