Name names........

Tony was the one that pushed up the side then did the chute.

Rob B was the one that chickened out, despite being on his new Spesh SX Trail.

Steve W,Elliot,Martin B all went bombing off down the trail & completely missed the turning to the right that takes you up to the crag chute!

Steve H,Vic,Carolyn didn't even consider it.....

Got respect off two guys who had been at the bottom of the chute for a little while watching other riders come down it,they said I was the only one to come down it without my rear tyre sliding don the rock,i.e. on the brakes!Death Grip rules!!!!!

Glad you had a better day than me Terry. The lakes were great sun out etc. Tried to do the Borrowdale Bash. First mistake was changing my Tyres to Ralphs. Got onto the bridleway off Honister Pass and after about 50 yards huge amounts of hissing and about 10 pinch flats in both tyres (tubeless strips seem jiggered after changing tyres). This was my first bit of off road since I'd missed the turn for Watendlath. Spent 40 mins in the sun fixning them but they wouldn't stay up so had to resort to wrapping duct tape around the tubes and limp back to keswick.

Got to keswick went to Keswick MTB and bought some tubes went back to the car and fitted the. Went out again this time going via Watendlath! Started decent very good nice technical fun etc, then TWAT rock hits mech hanger and of it comes. Thought I had a spare but no, I didn't. Had to single speed it it back to Keswick.

Then got a call from the mrs saying meet us at Penrith Somerfield you can leave your car here (WTF) so you can have a BBQ with us at Centre Parcs. I say, I thought I was ok to park up and come in (she said she'd checked). Apparently no. So cue trying to talk the guards at Center Parcs to let me in to pick my fiance up. BBQ was good though only bloke with 10 girlies har har

Hey there!

I am that immersed in the "Dark Side" I am like Darth Vader stomping around on the pedals these days...

;-)

How's it going Fizz, good to see things are coming to a close personal wise hope it all goes well for you, where's yer new house?

Also have you met a guy called Dave Adamson with the Boggies (nickname Chunk) he has an Orange P5 I think, lives at Bamber Bridge, his girlfriend works in the same area as me at EDS in Lytham.

Still commuting to so fitness and weight is improving dunno if I am at superhuman levels to keep up with you MTB'ers of God like proportions, maybe in another month or so who knows.

Anyways take care all and hopefully we shall meet again Skywalkers

Russ

Greetings men of steel. Had two days hard riding in the sunshine and loved every minute of it. Should have been moving stuff into my new house yesterday but couldn't resist a little jolly up the Lakes. Today was Calderdale & got shown a few new trails. I'll take you down 'em soon.

Ben you're a fooking disaster zone mate, thought I was bad

Sys I would be up for a road ride sometime.

Graham, you should have been up in't Borders with our lot!

Good ride on Friday, did a mix of red & blue routes at Glentress, trouble is,after Whistler everything is a bit tame to say the least.Fri night was spent propping up the bar at the Traquair Hotel & draining the barrells of Deuchars.

Saturday was uplift day for me,Jez,Jack,Michael,Alex & not forgetting the lovely Caroilne AKA French Bird! Did 8 uplifts,& had runs down all of the Inners courses,(Matador,Make or Break,Caddon Bank,Cresta Run & Gold Run),the conditions were ideal, blue sky & sun all weekend, ideal weather for the barbeque on Sat evening.

Had an off on Gold Run where I tried to fell a tree with my head.Thankfully the tree was ok!!!!

Yesterday the others did the Inners xc ride, with just me planning on doing uplift for one run, then joining the others on the xc route....that was the plan anyway, but after signing on met Mark Barter who was up there for the day,so ended up doing just downhilling all day.The last uplift was at 5pm! So didn't arrive home till late.

Graham, these new trails in Calderdale, are they all footpaths by any chance...?????
