there are beds available at Aviemore but i would like to try somewhere else really. Also available is Inverness but we would have to drive every day although new year's eve would be a corker

It is pretty hard with some horrible climbs worth looking at route and profile and some pictures

Isn't it like mega snowy around January up there?

Went up the fell from the side today near The New Drop Inn. A bit muddy like but a nice night. Met a young lad called Daniel on a 36lb Spesh SX Trail with 40's on the front end.

He fair shifted uphill on it too and showed me a trail they've been building. Steep like and muddy so best to try when frozen or dry methinks.

No worries mate it was wet & gloopy but I loved every minute

There is a hell of a lot of tree felling going on, lets hope they don't decimate anymore singletrack.

Managed to pick up a puncture, probably from a downed wire fence. Had a mini off on the way down the side since I had a severe lack of pressure haha. Good ride otherwise though. Mud tyres it is I think however.

Yep mine are going on the h/t tonight.
