Tell u what I've gotta get a lighter mtb. After my Giant Defy the mtb feels like a tank and twice as clumsy. The question is how to convince the mrs that I NEED a carbon hardtail; in fact its essential. Never mind new bathrooms and the like!

I'm in ~ I might be able to bring 5 gallons of home brewed wine. Depends if the father in law drops it off or not. It's a bit sweet so the mother in law won't drink it.

Fooking brilliant night out lads I well enjoyed it and it has to be done again. Maybe an annual thing, Fizzer's divorce anniversary bash.

Been down in the Peak today brilliant riding conditons - oh how hard is this single life

Saw Mr Urmston as well.

There was a race on - the Hope Valley challenge and a rider crashed over the bars right in front of us just after I saw Martin. Dislocated his shoulder so I had to put on my first aider hat. Not much I could do really apart from muster a sling out of a tube and ziptie  get him comfortable (ish) and call out mountain rescue. And they came  - land rover helicopter the works. Air lifted to Wythenshawe general he'll be pretty sore for a few weeks but should be OK.

Lakes tomorrow with the tribe.

i don't think the runout after the drop is finished yet so could be dangerous , i read about your emergency rescue today on singletrack sounds like a nasty accident
