7 seconds is a long time to be able to pull the plug, even if you are in shock and picking bits of skull out of your face.

I did not see this program, and so is it some thing that could be played with celeberities who dress up as singers in a jungle whist being asked questions by a rude ginger lady in a house that has a lot of hidden cameras?

With a team from Swindon dressed up as giant trolls chasing them in oversized boots trying to hit them with comedy larger than life foam hammers, or not?

RA, what on earth are you talking about?

From watching the show last night he seemed genuinely releaved to still be alive, giving the guy who loaded the gun a hug - normally a sign of self reassurance and comfort after a traumatic experience.

'Though after the firing order:
Chamber 3 - head (empty)
Chamber 4 - head (empty)
Chamber 5 - wall (empty)
Chamber 6 was always going to be difficult - head (empty)
with a 50/50 chance of the bullet being in the last two chambers he then had to fire Chamber 1 at the wall - if it went off he's ok, if it was empty then Chamber 2's loaded, and he's not going to put that to his head!

I'll never watch The Deer Hunter in the same light again....

Hes a hack because i would have used an automatic ;-) and levitating on top of a big pole

Magics quiet dangerous these days Seigfried and Roy had a few problems with a tiger the other day, Mr Brown almost shot himself for his art (and a big bundle of cash i suspect) and Im trying to do myself some serious harm. I wonder what Paul Danials is up to at the moment?

Now if only the Seigfried and Roy tiger attack had been televised...

It was 'live', yes? ...how come it was daylight at the end as the camera panned from outside the building?

or was it done in the States?

Looked like dusk to me somewhere in europe perhaps

"giving the guy who loaded the gun a hug"

he was going for the guys wallet.
Show/hide user stats
didn't it finish about 9pm? would have been 10pm CET

Who's RA?

Just occured to me-

Why did the poor guy who loaded it have to sit there watching?! He was playing no further part - maybe Derren was hoping that if he was going to get it wrong, the lad would've gone 'NO'!

Otherwise, if it had've gone wrong, seeing it would've severely f*cked up that lad.

wasn't it from the persons reaction at each round that told him which was the live round?
Show/hide user stats
He was facing away, no?

I think he guessed which chamber it was in when the guy initially loaded it in front of him (from his body language), and then from the tone of his voice when he moved to Brown's 7 o'clock position (left-rear) and then counted through 1-6, so he couldn't be seen at all when Brown was pulling the trigger.

They were the only two people in the room, as all of the camera's were remotes.

I think it was Jersey, as a post from Jerseyboy on the Digital Spy Forum has this:

"It was filmed in Jersey!
Thought you guys would be interested to know that according to the Jersey Evening Post today, which is the only local paper we have, the stunt was filmed in Jersey.
The States of Jersey Police have said that they were aware that it was being filmed and they were happy that 'there was no danger to anyone involved.'
The way that is worded makes it sound like it was all an illusion anyway.
I think Derren Brown is quite a showman whether it was real or not and I'm looking forward to the new series."

The page after this (page 14) contains a transcript of the dialogue from the last few minutes of the show - The Russian Roulette sequence.

Also, if your quick, you can download the 7.1Mb WMV video clip from

I didn't watch it.

But if the guy reads people minds from their body language he would have to at least see the guy.

I am assuming. I do agree that if it had gone wrong it would be horrible for the guy who loaded the gun and there is no way I would have participated in it.

i have to say that bart sums it up for me - the word here is 'illusionist' - that is his job description, nuff said.
