Derren Brown doesn't describe himself as an illusionist though; he's a body language/voice expert. It's not just bl he reads, he can tell from people's voices what he needs to know

I'm really hoping that when they finally open David Blaines box, there will be a puff of smoke and out will step The Lovely Debbie McGee.

I find the whole thing staggering - in this age of instant gratification, attention-span-of-a-gnat infotainment, who could have thought that "it'll get exciting if you watch for 6 weeks, honest" would actually work out.

I can imagine the first planning meeting :-

"Where the hell are we gonna find people who would appreciate this tedious stunt ?"
