Jealous of everyone's adventures this weekend!

Missed Leith Hill as well as Swinley- dammit!

Went to the Queen Elizabeth country park with the girlfriend, but we only ambled along a couple of easy rides.

See everyone Wednesday! First light night-ride, as it were...

Can't make Wednesday as I'm away with work but should be doing Swinley again next weekend with Goaty, his pal and a couple of mine. Not sure what the Farnborough crew are up to but if we combined forces we'd have a goddam convoy!! (bagsey me be Rubber Duck)
I don't want to be the Bear (who was in the air?).
Found another undiscovered (to me) piece of single track at Swinley today. It'll be a real treat for you Scott. Nice and flat but full of turns, berms and switchbacks.
Good ride all round again. Did that long bit that we did yesterday but not both ways 'cos we were both blowing out of our arses....

Goaty, Scott, there is a regular Saturday morning ride leaving at 9am from the Lookout at Swinley. Come along if you can, ride for about 2 to 3 hours.

Andy, what's the pace like on the Swinley ride, you know how slow I am?

Varies depending on who turns up, obviously. It’s a similar pace to the Wednesday night rides. I think they (Wednesday’s guys) are riding faster than a month ago. There is a Sunday ride, organised by a guy called Matt (owns a bike shop in Basingstoke), this is a slower pace than the Saturday ride and more turn up for it, starts later, 10am I think.

Andy thanks mate so all that riding starting to work!!

Scott & Goaty the Saturday ride in Swinley that Andy talking about is a good ride its a bit fast but there happy to wait for a couple of riders. Went on a lot of single tracks that I have never been on so a good eye opener.

Plus Scott mit be up for a ride on Saturday too..

See everyone who is riding this Wednesday by the look of thisks its going to be MUDDY!!!

Jay, the forecast is for rain on Wednesday evening, I guess you still go anyway, yes?

I will have to give it a miss tomorrow night as I have come down with a bit of cold since last weekend :-( Hopefully back to full fitness for next weekend.

I see the kids have been rebuilding the jumps in the sandy section of the Wednesday ride, that will give you all something to play on tomorrow night.

Have a good ride.

If the rain hasn't washed them away that is!

Bit of a muddy one tonight methinks...

Yer I am still up for it!! If its really really Pissing down then I mit give it a miss..

I think its just me Andy and Mark that are going.

I tell you what I give both of you a call at 5.30pm and we see how we feel then.

Plus Andy & Jason did you have a good ride on Monday?? The bed won on Monday had a laying!!

Speak later

Jay
If anybody is interested Friday morning at Swinley about 10:30am will be my last ride in this country for a bit as I am off to sandier frontiers - unless I fall off and break my arm that is.....

Jay, I can't belive you missed the ride at the last minute! You should have at least checked the weather forecast a few days ago and made an excuse well in advance like I did!

I am busy at the weekend with this Gorrick Race on the Sunday (not that I am really racing just messing about in the fun cat') If you are about early Sunday morning why not head over to Frith Hill(just opposite Colony Gate) to test the course out. Is anybody else planning to enter?

I no Jason feel realy bad!! did have a nice dinner! :-) What time are you starting Jason and what sort of time are you finshing too.

I forgot about the Gorrick, I might enter the fun class so I’ll not make a ride on Saturday.

Only two ‘Brave Knights of the Quest’ out tonight. Bring your sick notes with you next week all those who had a ‘big dinner’ or might have developed a cold...;-). Tweseldown is being logged in a few places and its also very muddy, its not a good place to ride in the wet.

Jason, don’t push me off as your lap me, or I’ll send the mice in to eat your new Shimano ‘cheesealloy’ chainring...;-)

Mark, hope you’re okay, it was a test of commitment fighting the fog, rain and mud while others sat by the fire eating dinner...!

The fun race starts at 11:50, but the course is open from 8:30 for pre-riding. If the weather is good I will get there about 10 and pre-ride the course, if it is wet I probably get there just before the start. The fun race is only two laps, so I doubt it will take much over an hour.

Andy, the way I feel at the moment I really can't see me lapping anybody, I am hoping I can shake this bug off by Sunday and actually ride. My bike is now all fixed (hopefully as I haven't actually ridden it yet) hopefully the blackspire ring will last a bit longer the shimano one.

Andy- yeah, quite an adventure that was! Slippin' and a slidin'. But we were out there, man! None of this girly-boy attitude that the others seem to suffer from! ;-)

Fair weather riders the lot of ya!!! :-D

At least in that kind of weather the mud falls off your bike as easily as in that advert for Wales!

Can do Saturday morning but not Sunday.

Mark
