 Hi Jay,
My plan is to head up to Swinley Sat am with a couple of mates (just need to agree time). Pace will be slow as I've not had much saddle time lately and neither have the other two. Would be good to see you if you fancy coming along. Will probably try and aim for 9 or 10 am start.
Cheers,
Scott

Hi Jay, I'm afraid this weekend is my last weekend until 7th May as I'm going away with work again on Wednesday.
Jay I didn't know you had the MR2 for sale, I sold mine through ebay last December, it was just like yours but with the standard alloys - It was a G reg with 90k on the clock. From ebay I had lots and lots of interest, even after the auction ended I had people emailing me with higher offers. In comparison I had no interest from the various MR2 driver club web sites. Well worth a try if you are keen to sell it.

Scott hope you had a good ride today. So you of to the alps for a bit of hill training ;-) Well summer mit be in full swingby then mate see you in May...
Jason well I sort of said to a mate that I was thinking of selling the MR2 and to start riding to work so its sort of happened.. Not to bothered if I sell it really.
Have a good race tomorrow by the look of things its going to be SUNNY!!!

Scott, saw you at the lookout by the picnic benches in the patio area today. Trip to the desert cancelled so I went 4 a ride instead. Will be there tomorrow at about 10:30 ish if you're interested.....
Goaty, you should've come and joined us for a cuppa. Ride was great but I seemed to find every bit of mud in Swinley.
Jay, trip is to Salt Lake City in Utah so plenty of mountains (Winter Olympics ski resort). Unfortunately going to be on 7 day weeks out there!
You two were just on your way out. I think you were off home 'cos you were already muddy....
Fancy a ride tomorrow or are you doing the garden;o)
Sorry Goaty, already got plans for tomorrow. Still a couple of panels left on the fence (no I don't live in a mansion, I'm just slow!).
Anybody else at Swinley tomorrow? I can't be arsed to trawl back through the thread..

Chaps, How about we sort a date out for a trip to Afan Argode then?
I’m thinking of doing a day ride, we could travel up the evening before if people want to. Its about 2 & 3/4 hrs drive from Farnborough (M4 J40). Afan has three short (ish) trails to choose from, The Wall (24km), Whites Level (16km, this one is 5km’s up the valley) and the Penhydd (20km). Each will take 2 or 3 hours to ride so we could do two in one day, three for the real rabbits amongst us. The Skyline Trail is a long all day jobbie, will take about 6hrs to do and I don’t really think we should take it on for a first visit (for some of us anyway). A night ride could be on, I’ll be up for it, anyone else?.
There is a café at Afan and at Glyncorrwg (new trail centre near the start of Whites Level) serving hot food, drinks, and providing somewhere to park the cars.

Sounds like a plan Andy I guess we have to put dates up.
I no am busy next weekend and the 23rd april.
I guess the best weekend for me is the 30th april.
Scott try not to work to hard out in the USA
Jay
yep, if we can start picking dates, I can make April 30th as well.
Andy
err...I've just been told I can't do the 30th, what about Saturday 7th May?
A trip to Wales sounds good. The 7th May will suit me, or even the the 14th or 21st. I am also busy on the bank holiday weekend (30/4) with the Gorrick Gill 100 on the Sunday.
I am happy enough to drive there and back in the day, or can stay over the night before if it is easy to arrange and there is somewhere safe to leave the bikes.
A fun(!) race today at Frith Hill, I had a bit of a bad start, as I realised I was in the granny ring as the race started (too busy chatting to Andy & Phil) then almost crashed in to somebody who came to a stop 100m into the race. Overtook quite a few people on the first lap, over took a few more on the 2nd lap then suffered a really bad calf cramp which stopped me riding for a minute or two (I blame the Stella the night before) and let loads of riders past. Struggled on and finished 22nd out of 53.

Great idea Andy! Unfortunately 7th May is unlikely for me, but if the gig we've got lined up gets cancelled then I'll be along!
14th is free at the moment, 21st is not.
After a good weekend, this particular Monday is going soooooo slowly...

I did get out for a ride Sunday morning up at 7am and riding by 8 got 16miles in.

Sounds like the 14th is the favourite at the moment.
Can you spot the Wednesday night rider in number one spot in this line up:
http://www.swarbrick.com/photos/gorrick030405/No%20number/index.html
I really enjoyed the course, a lot of it was on new single track, which slowly changed as the day went on. Most of the climbs were on wider firm tracks, a few were on the loose stuff. With the excellent weather the course was very dry. There were also a few bomb holes thrown in for good measure, these seemed to catch a few riders out.
I am about on Wednesday night, see you at seven.
