Lou is planning to be out, unless it is chucking it down.   I am pretty sure she knows all the bits from the xc course.

I'll be out too. I'm sure we can cobble together some sort of shambles loosely based on the Gorrick course

I should be there and have done some of the new parts of Gorrick over the last few weeks.

well that was a fine idea of mine to ride those bits of the XC course... only for me to get stuck in the A331 closure due to an accident.  Now back home again 1hr 50 mins after leaving home, with zero miles ridden   Gutted - had a rubbish day at work, and was looking forward to the ride all day!

Tim thats not good....!!  1hr 50mins of seating in the car not good,  sounds like you had the same sort of flight we had in to LHR heheehe was intresting..

Have a good ride all tonight..

Hope the ankle's ok Barry. At least we avoided the rain tonight

Cheers Dave & to all tonight, I again want to say thanks for the support.

Ankle & face are in a pretty bad mess but should be sorted after a few more beers, if not,  A & E in the morning??

As you say, the weather was great tonight, the bike's OK & I'll be shopping for a new helmet. Just cant say how glad I am for wearing elbow guards. Funny thing is I've got a hole in my shoulder that I never felt???

As long as it looked good????

I might (hopefully) see you all next week.

Bazz - I hope you're feeling better in the morning and glad to see you got back ok.

Apart from your tumble (stack of the year so far anyone?) it was a good ride and drier than I expected.

Sorry you spent the eve stuck in traffic Tim - we'll have to do the lap another time.

And the rest of us are wondering what exactly happened... do tell! Unless you decide to punish people like me for not riding last night!

Hope you're ok though Bazz, sounds like you're a bit scraped up. Battle scars are good

Erm, the drop off at the end of the single track after Whoopy Doo's was more of an endo in Barry's case.

It seems to have worn away a bit more in the last week or so - I don't remember a visible root at the top before?

How did the Knitting   bike maintenance go Lem?

Ouch, that sounds nasty... got any pictures? Hopefully A&E was not required to patch you up. Good call on the new helmet, they are only meant for saving your bonce once.

I guess that you are saving yor legs for Mayhem Lem. I am saving my legs at the moment, Not from desire or some scheme to win at Mayhem. I still have problems with my back and not been out since the Pentlands ride.

Bummer on the accident and traffic delays Tim keeping you from a ride. Hopefully today was better at work any way. I can imagine it being a bit rough in the plane with all that wind.

Well it sounds like you all had a intresting ride last night.. Buzz hope you are ok and did not need a trip to A&E..

Mark how's the back hope its not long to you back on a bike.. Yep it was a bit rough on the plane LOL..

Right I guess I better put were Thursday ride is (not that I think my legs can work from all beer I had at the weekend)..

So how does Hawley and Yateley sound meeting a SunMicro Systems (just of the M3) at 7.15pm map here.

That sounds good.  I plan to be there.  Hope the traffic is a bit better tomorrow.  If I'm not there, don't wait!

Bazz's crash- nasty, that's a fairly big fall there, hope you're recovering by now.

Maintenance went well- I have a full complement of operational inner tubes again. And established that my BB isn't lose after all, it's shafted. Mmm... new bits...

Mark- I'm not shaving my legs for anybody!

I should be out tomorrow, Hawley and Yateley- haven't ridden there for a while!

I won't be out tonight. I will be heading out for a quick ride around Tunnel Hill to check my new light works ok, but want to be back fairly early to make sure all our bikes are sorted for a weekend of riding.

Just a reminder for everyone that the Breakfast at the Beach ride is happening on Saturday. An early start at 5:30am at North Camp Station, hopefully getting to Shoreham by 10ish, with most of the route off road. Then either ride back or on the train. Pete (well Kirsty really) has now offered to give people a lift back from Brighton too. Full details in this thread:

Bazz, hope you have recovered ok from your crash, from what Lou said the damage sounded quite nasty.
Show/hide user stats

Yea, Bazz, just read about the crash on the THT site.

Hope you get well soon mate.......sounded nasty. Eeekkk!

cheers jay for leading and nice to see you lem and tim i had a right laugh
Show/hide user stats

A good ride tonight- cheers for leading Jay. Interesting to go back around, er, where-ever we were... blackwater-ish I suppose? Pub was tempting at the start though!

Amusingly muddy in places! Bit squirmy. Hosed everything down when I got back- at least it comes off easy.

Rich- think you were getting the hang of the floppy bike by the end.

Tim- remember to sort your saddle out- didn't sound like it would help being in control!

Think I need a new drivetrain though- was suffering funny chain noises, probably sucking. Certainly jammed at one point.

But best of all, I was greeted by bangers and mash when I got home- yum!
