Yeah, I enjoyed the ride tonight!  Obviously given my total inability to log any trails in my mind I didn't actually realise that we were lost at any point

Thanks for leading us round Jay, and to Rich and Lem for being good company..!

Jay, yes light seems to be fine now.   I don't know what the problem was but Light & Motion have sent me a brand new light and battery, so fingers crossed it should work well from now on.

Hi all

Thanks for the messages, not going too well, went to (sent to) Frimley today but seems there was an accident or something & was due a four + hour wait with all the real sick & dying, so picked myself up (mentally) & will go for a walk around London tomorow to push through it. No riding this weekend! been barred!

Can't really say what happened?? but reckon I caught that root at the top of the last drop in, or I was getting a bit too confident, anyhow, got some decent air time as it's a bit of a drop & landed like a sack of spuds. God I wish I was 18 again, then you just bounce.

But Hey Ho, still alive & nothing brocken. Hopefully will be able to make it on Tuesday but it's up to the ankle.

Mark W. you mentioned that you might need a new BB, let me know as I have a new XTR one that needs to go, as I bought a different chainset.

Hope you all enjoy the ride tomorrow, be safe.

Bazz take it easy mate and get well soon..

Pants cheers for driving today on a last mim Afan trip with Darren, Lem and Andy.  We was a bit lucky with the weather ..  Those trails are fun and the Skyline decent is such a buzz, the Anthem cope well on the steeps and some of the drop..  Need new brake pads now..

Well done to all who did the Beach trip hope you all had a good ride.

Right beer time.

Jay

Hi Lem, Not sure I ever said thet you were shaving your legs for Mayhem. I am sure I said "save". However it would seem that I may have touched a soft spot, sorry about that. You can remain a closet shaver if you wish.... I won't tell Tim or Jason.. )

What is it with all theses dodgy lights all of a sudden. Looks like you cant give Lem any stick for his home made units being a bit iffy some times.

Yea, Pants cheers for driving to Afan and cheers also to Jay, Andy and Lem for making it such an enjoyable day. It was hard work towing 4 bikes up the hill

AaaaggggHaaaaaaaa!!

We were lucky with the weather as Jay said, just imagine how bad it would have been if the sun had come out and ruined it.

I can also confirm in public.....apparantly do suffer from pier pressure , although I am greatful for the 2nd climb up (honest) as I slept in till 1pm today.  This was an added bonus as the facial grimmace embedded from the 2nd climb has now worn off

Amazingly I need new brake pads too as they are very low. All that dust on the trails must be super abrasive.

Looking forward to the next outing.

I guess I better get on to this Tuesday ride as we have had a lot of rain over the weekend,  I think it save to keep it to Tunnel Hill.. (Next week we well try a new meet point near Porridgepot)

So this Tuesday well be meeting at Potters at 7.15pm

Aye, I dropped it off at Cycle Kingdom today. Should be ready Tuesday.

Jay are we still making it an extra-slow one on Tues, as requested by Kathy (who we haven't met yet!) on THT?

Either way, looking forward to it, will be extra-soggy

Show/hide user stats

Dave I think we be ok as I think there be some tired legs this Tuesday.   It was muddy in place over TH, have had alot of rain so I think we stay away from Porridgepot.

Don't worry you'll get to meet me tomorrow! I've finally got new tyres on so hopefully won't be sliding around too much. Looking forward to it .

Oh by the way Jason/everyone, somewhere between me putting my bike in the car in Brighton after the ride on Saturday, and taking it out at home another set of my Superstar brake pads fell apart. I'd treated these VERY carefully and they were virtually new. I've sent the rest of them back and asked for a refund. I gave them a second chance but I can't trust them any more.....

Pretty poor really
