Pete, good job they failed when you weren't using them. I would imagine that Neil will say it was your fault in some way, maybe you tighten you disk rotor blts up too much (or some equally strange reasoning!) I would rather he just admitted to having a problem with a batch of these pads and say that he had (or hadn't) sorted it out. However he just keeps saying there is no problem, yet is doing things like leaving pads soaking in Muc-Off to see if that is the cause of the problem that doesn't exist.... I now have a set of these on both of my bikes, and so far I have only had the one failure (apparantly due to my rotor being worn ) Like you I don't really trust them, and once I have got through my the remaining ones I won't be buying anymore. My turn on the turbo trainer tonight, so Lou will be out instead.

Not scared off at all! Great ride, really enjoyed it - thanks Good to meet you all and will definitely be out again in two weeks time once my race is over.Hope to make it much more regular post-race as well. Can't wait, hopefully will head out for a daylight ride with Lou this weekend as well so get a bit more trail knowledge. Thanks for your patience - plenty of advice and hazard warnings - which I needed! Looking forward to the next ride!

Well done Kathy you gave everything a good go, careful with Lou at the weekend she likes to fall off a lot Pants - what's the prognosis for the bike? That was a lot of lateral flex

Also not out tonight I'm afraid. Mind you, probably a good call after all my near misses (and one hit) on Tuesday

Boo - I was up for it as well! Well actually I'd changed my mind and decided not to bother, but no-one need ever know that...
I won't be out either tonight... I was going to go out for abit and was just checking the SS over to find the source of a squeak, only to find I have managed to snap another rear axle - I think that is four in the past year on (3 different wheels & 2 different bikes!) I don't know what I do to them I think it is still fine to ride, seeing as it it managed to get me to the coast on Saturday, but looking at the weather I think I will head out in the morning instead.

Jason there is only one explanation - pies.
If that was the reason I am fairly sure many more of our group would have had the same problem
Dave LOL...!! Jason what are you doing man...!!!! mmmmm beer good curry order mmmm
Roland/Jay - Yes beer won me over too. I have just got in from the journey from Hell and it was "pub to brains, we have control".

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz another big day out, riding from 8:15am to about 5pm, lots of mud and wind and sun, managed to get in just before the thunder and hail though! Thanks Tim for keeping me company, glad it was just the mech hanger than snapped and not the whole frame, and glad also we were not far from your place when it happened... Now - WHERE'S MY BEER?

Yeah, I am pretty glad it was the mech hanger. Now we know that Spesh get the award for the "replaceable mech hanger perfectly disguised to make it look like the frame has does not have a replaceable mech hanger" award. My legs are absolutely knackered today still!

I feel pretty stuffed today as well - might give the ride to the Punchbowl a miss I think
