Well done Pants, as you have said before 100miles is easy on a road bike.  I gues it is just the bit after 100 that starts to hurt

TIm, I have used both of the companies Andy has mentioned and they have always been fairly quick with deliveries.  I could do with a couple of Nobby Nic tyres, so if the postage is expensive and it works out cheaper to order several and split the P&P costs let me know.

Dave, in my experience, Racing Ralph tyres are very good in dry hard conditions, but can be a bit slippy when it is wet.  Definitely go for the snakeskin side walls, I have found the side walls very fragile on the standard ones.

Surely I never said that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pants I thought you said your mates usually averaged 30mph, yet you took 6 hours to do 118????

Anyway well done, I expect you'll be turning today's points into Sunday's prizes at the Gorrick

6hrs! sounds fun! well done mate. you can't use it as an excuse for sunday though!

Pants...  well done, that is a good ride time!

Looks like I've made probably the most inappropriate choice of tyres ever then.  I wanted to get them quick and was putting in an order to CRC so looked at what they had in stock from Schwalbe, which was not much, and particularly not Nobby Nics.  So, I figured I'd try some Racing Ralphs as in theory the weather should be getting drier.  But for my usual riding bike, they could well be pretty daft then.  Oh, and they're not snakeskin, which has to be truly good news then bearing in mind my last puncture was due to a cut sidewall

Dave that's you who twists the truth about speed and miles!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi
Apologies for taking so long but my life is hectic what with moving and having to earn a living cratch:

I now feel that I have everyones order and I will be emailing everyone over the next few days just to verify the details.

The cost  is (with discounts) shirt A - £33.84 shirt B - £32.00.

I will need payment from everyone before ordering just so I am not left with jerseys left over so if this can be done at your earliest convenience i would be grateful.
The time line for this is orders by 12th May for delivery before mountain mayhem.

Thanks

Kirsty

Good to see that some of you have been out getting some miles under your belt.  Just back from USA so I have something under my belt but not miles unfortunately.  Never seen so many big people and ity seems I was almost assimilated into one of them during my short stay.  Kids had a great time and saw loads of characters at the parks.  Mrs Incredible was my favourite, great curves !  Any way I need to work on my new curves now.

Kirsty I guess you are now sorted in the new house.  I hope all went well.  I will get a cheque off to you.  I assume the address is in the PM.

I have now received sample sizes jerseys from Owaya (Shirt B).  This the company that are doing the red flame shirt and say they are a tight race fit so I will bring them along on Tuesday & Thursday for everyone to try.  I have to return them within 10 days so I need to get them back by 7th May.   So I recommend everyone to try them on if you have ordered shirt B.  If you are unable to make the Tuesday or Thursday ride you can call round my house or work in Farnborough.  Or you can tell me who you are most like in the group and I can get them to try them on.

Shirt A - I still have the samples so will bring them round - the concenus with this one was that it was the same size as you would usually buy.

Thanks

Kirsty

So well done to Dave, kathy and James who braved the rain on Tuesday - I noticed that it cleared up considerably at 19h30!

I will be out agin this Thursday for people to try jersey B on - I am only allowed it for 10 days so you need to be quick to try it on..  As a reference Mytchett Mike tried the Large on and it fitted him perfectly (he is usually a Medium!)  Peter tried on the large and said he felt like a sausage so has ordered the XXL.

We are off to Wales at the weekend (back Sunday) so if you can't make tonights ride please e-mail me on kirstywindsor@aol.co.uk and I m sure I can arrnage a viewing at chez Beech Road.

Cheers

Kirsty
