Perfect late summer days in Edinburgh at the moment. blue sky, sunshine, but with enough chill in the air in the evening to remind you that Autumn is on its way.

Autumn is followed by winter, and with winter comes......... Snowboarding!!!

Can you book some fine days for next week Fraser

might be lucky! looks 'unsettled' with some days fine and some days windy as fook with rain. Just one more sunny weekend of summer, is that too much to ask?

We haven't had any decent rain for well over three weeks! We were promised some spectacular thunder storms yesterday evening but in the end only a few drops, though I did hear on the news that some idiot managed to get struck by lightening while walking in a field somewhere in Germany on the radio this morning.

Beautiful summer's morning.

The hay bales in the golden fields under bright blue sky  were looking rather splendid through the  train window on the way to work this morning.
