That sounds good Dan, so long as i can actually do it, should be fine as I say, but insurance up this month, mot next month, tax due end of november, then there's the moving shop issue... could all go pear shaped!

Will pencil that in Dan, as Andy really though got to take it as it comes and see whats going on the week before.

OK cool, well Den says he thinks he can do that weekend.

We can always book hotel/bunkhouse/campsite/park bench a bit nearer the time as I don't expect they'll all be crazy busy that time of year...

You out at the weekend Si?

thanks to Andy, Den and Dan for my tour of the peaks last weekend - was brilliant! me andf jayne had a brilliant week and got a day at wharncliffe too!

on the hamsterely thread - it is rideable on any bike - some guys ride there hard tails on quite a few of the trails - the drops on mainline and trail of doom are chicken runned if you want to miss them! Ive got a meta 5.5 which is about pretty fun on the DH stuff.  Race on 24th-25th oct - you know you want too!!

Hi Allie! Nice to meet you and Jane (and Winston!) last weekend.. . Was a really good day's ride.

Re hamsterley - I'd love to give it a go but am reliant on lifts to need to interest Si or Andy or someone first!

Thinking about it . . I don't think I'll have the foes sorted in time - currently lacking in forks! Dont much fancy it on the skinny hardtail

Hello Allie, great to meet you, glad you enjoyed the ride, maybe see you in the future at some point...

Hamsterly ain't all that far, don't fancy a race, but maybe if we venture up there sometime we could use a guide...   I do like a little play at Dh from time to time when I'm feeling brave.

me and jayne are playing about practicing for race on oct 3rd and 4th if you fancy a look up then!

ah got my bro's wedding on the 3rd so really best attend that really!

Shame else I would have thrown diesel money at andy and suggested going!

*thinks*

once again i've forgotten that the foes is currently a unicycle!

Must remember - buy forks, forks are important, no forks = no riding big bike or dh. . .

glad you liked wharncliffe, it's not usually that dry so we got lucky. I owe you 1inner tube, you at inners uplift on Sunday?

hey dean!! Nah im having a bike free weekend - shock, horror, yes tis true!!!  Well i might get a little pootle around nears marks but were at a family party then Thorpe park playing on roller coasters!! Dont worry about the tube - i believe in karma and one of these days some nice person is going to help me out when im struggling to work out which end of the pump is which

Dan - 2 out 3 of my bikes broke too - takewn them in today - my orange has a knackered wheel from the peaks and my meta has seriously squelling rear brake and wont get any gears properly - off to bike hospital on way to night ride tonight!!!

pumps eh? . . Yeah they can be tricky to work out in my experience! !

Re forks - the big problem is that I kind of sold the 36's that were on the foes, before my holiday.. . Thinking I could use the money then replace it and buy shiny new forks. . .

It didn't quite work out as planned!

*Titters at Dan's infinate wisdom...*

i paid for my crash free week in the peaks by having my first night ride crash tonight!!   But i did my bikes fixed today and was taught one end of a pump from the other - i might even try using it sometime soon too
