Direct from school to you !    Dan, those Dealextreme lights really are good for the money.

I picked up two more, two bats and a charger for $35 posted... BARGIN.   Ran one on the bars, one on lid. THe one on the Bars was exactly the same power / vision as the Hope HID next to it.  Id buy a couple though as they do fail, but at that price there almost disposable.

Yeah I like the look of These  from DealExtreme Si..   apparently nearer to 600Lumens than 900 but a major bargain.

Which ones are the torches you use on your head etc?

Think I will at least get that DX bike light set above when I get paid -  for 50 odd squid it'd be crazy not to give them a try...

thats a natty looking one, its got the P7 LEd, same as both the lamps I've used but got a proper heatsink etc.   The spot type one I've got for my lid is an 801  and the flod type one, same as the one you borrowed is here  There pretty old tech now, I think Dylan has a good handle of whats good.

yup, the 801 is really good for a spot on your lid, its small, light and bright. Dylan recommended that one to me.
