Yeah definetly. I know of two good loops. One I haven't been able to find a bridleway thats on the map but not on the ground. (don't like going ploughing over a farmers land on me own you know what they can be like, but with two of us different story) so will probably do that one.

Daughter fine thanx just still rather itchy but should only be a couple of days left now hopefully.

Barry sorry I missed your post, anyway no good for me tonight I'm in the NE, I can get over quick but not that quick :o))

OMG that was a good ride. You wouldnt believe the weather, barry started stripping off near skiddaw cos he was too warm at 9pm at night. I am starting to learn about the stars as well thank you very much barry.

A pretty eventfull 15mls. Barry looked like he got shot at one point blasting along and hit a rock with his crank which flipped him right off the track in A team stylee. And i didnt see a water gulley at full blast (Barry speedo read 33mph) and ended up riding along on my front wheel for 10yds with my ass 1ft off the seat screaming. By the time i landed painfully back on the seat i hit another gulley and it happened again. All to the sound of saintly absolutely pissing himself laughing.

Barry is officially the most mental person i know off this site. His lights packed up with 5 mls left and he rode at full pelt with 2 little LED lights on his bars that offered about 2% vision. We couldnt keep up with him.

Great night and a nice pint to finish. Night riding is everything i want from biking.

See ya on wednesday night Dave & Simon. Phat will probably meet us there but i dont think barry will make it.

As long as you do't take me with you phats!!

What an absolute buzz last night I can't get enough of this night riding lark.
Hobo mentioned last night that it will be harder and harder to get a buzz out of normal riding and after thinking about it I tend to agree with him now. 30mph in the dark feels awesome. Watching Hobo hanging off his bike for dear life at 30mph was absolutely priceless. I havn't laughed so much in a long time I just wish I had a helmet cam with me.

Thanks guys for getting me off the sofa.

Whats going on with your picture simon??

Bored of my little jeep thought I would just use the Lowther shield till I found something a bit more interesting.
Show/hide user stats
Oh and glad to offer such amusement Saintly. I think Barry should get the most praise for his riding at speed with hardly any light. Unbelievable.

Dont worry Phat, i will bring my camera so you falls wont be for nothing ;-)
Show/hide user stats
Ohhh, i missed the fact that it was the lowther shield.

I would use a picture of Simon Templer myself.

Shim, just tag along mate. I dont think anything is organised for next wednesday so offer something up. Barry is a good one to talk to if you want to do a lakes ride. Anyhting about the 2hr mark is fine by me.

Barry the Kamikaze legend, think he should wear a rising sun headband next time we are out.

Amusement doesn't even come close, when we stopped at that gate I creased in half I was laughing that much.

I am so glad nothing happened to me cos for you two to have such eventful evenings my stack would have been catastrophic in proportion.

Batteries are on charge ready for tomorrow. I am feeling a little bit more nervey about doing Mabie in the dark think it could potentially catch us out.
