Cool piccies of Liam Andy

The cut seems to have an infection now.  They cleaned it out last night but wouldnt stitch it as that would close the infection in.  Never mind, just a bit longer to heal.

more pics here

ouch indeedy Andrew.

Great day yesterday folks, nice to meet you all and maybe see you up here in Dumfries sometime. The usual components for a good ride, organisation, weather, company and nice beer garden all adding up to make it so.

Big Dave managed an ouch moment yesterday, comical one at that

1 puncture

I broke a spoke, first in years, wheels must be 6yrs oldish at least.

It was very warm yesterday till we got to the top of the big hill with the trigg point(?)

23 & a bit miles according to Mikes gps.

It was certainly an ouch moment John but didn't feel too comical at the time Tarmac flat out on your back definetly feels harder than rolling off sideways onto rocks It was a rather uncomfortable night in bed last night.

(NOTE TO SELF DON'T WHEELIE DOWN A SLOPE)

Cracking pictures I doidn't realise you had managed to get so many.

Nice to see everyone it was a cracking day and I'm really looking forward to 6th June.

Andrew

How did you manage that?

thanks to all for a cracking ride yesterday, great scenery, great company and top riding - especially THE singletrack, my arms were killing me just after the top section.

cheers for the pics John. Bike tan is coming on nicely, red patches all over.

Bring on the weekend, just so long as i can get a dog-sitter sorted.

a wee Hobo on top of a hill somewhere?
Show/hide user stats
That was us on the way up John.  I misscalculated and made him walk 3mls there and 3mls back as well as the main walk.  Whoops

btw is the scrapage scheme available on vans?

Fantastic ride on Sunday. Singletrack, Sun and Smiles.

I loved the whole ride, thanks Dave for your guiding.

Thanks John for the brilliant photo's.

Thanks everyone else for making it such a good ride.

Show/hide user stats
Yeah John, we can do it on the vans

Great pic, Andrew. It's traditional to accidentally take kids too far on a Lakes walk - it toughens them up Did you camp out like you planned?

Hope your arms healing up OK.

Show/hide user stats

TBH when we got there i realised how much of a problem the parking is around there.  Its unbelievable.  If i did it again i would honestly catch the bus.  The walking we did that day would have got us up and back twice.

Yeah we camped at Braithwaite.  Very clean site and the toilets etc wouldnt be outta place in hotels.

Arm is a problem.  Cleaned it up today and its full of yellow gunk.  Not healing in the slightest.  Cleaned it up and put an iodine patch on it.  Have started the antibiotics phenoxymethylpenicillin & flucloxacillin.  Not sore though

Show/hide user stats
Oh crap. That's the right antibiotics to be on but it's gonna take a while to heal. Do you reckon you'll be OK for Ten Under?

what about a burst bottom lip?

grandson managed a bit of a commotion at nursery this afternoon. tripped and fell onto a train set. Teeth through bottom lip etc. Lots of blood. No ambulance available, hospital sends paramedic who has no child seat so sends for ambulance. grandson although bleeding profusely thinks this is magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has been asleep since 6pm. Fun will start when he wakes up

DJ .......... "Thanks John for the brilliant photo's."  Love taking them so long as peeps don`t mind. It`s another hobby of mine I`d like to be able to afford something better in the way of equipment.

Daughter is on the phone relating incident and chatting about her next graduation ceremony(3rd & last!!)

Morning Folks.

For any one interested me and Dave are shredding up Grizedale on Sat, route to be probably made up as we ride and will most likley resemble an etch a sketch squiggle.

Morning Shim

I`m working

It`s gonna be sunny

Show/hide user stats

Hope the little un's ok John.

Getting excited about the weekend.  Weather looks great and my arm looks like its healing now so now we just need to get to Fort Bill and enjoy the weekend

Show/hide user stats
