Hi, Mike - Thanks. However, I must admit I am hot-footing it back up to the Peak each weekend!

Went out tonight with a Swinley group that I found on Facebook. I must say it was superb - much better than expected. They showed me loads of stuff ranging from fast twisty singletrack through mixed forest to various jumps sections that are designed so that you can "safely" progress to bigger and bigger air.

GMBC sounds like a great date. Will check the diary and see if I am able to sign up.

"John, you don't look a day older than *5".....had a medical t`other day and lovely young(ish)blonde nurse reckoned I looked fit. The guys "following" me round Mabie t`other night did`nt know this

cheers msmit....enjoy your weekends. Had thought about going out this afternoon but it`wet, getting soft with old age(actually got very stiff neck for some reason)

Steve...think there is quite a few Swinley riders on stw, maybe same guys?

More here..swin

Mike

I can make the 22/23, if that's the one you go for how about a Lakes ride on the Saturday with Ally and then a Stane or two on Sunday?

Steve

Nice to hear you are back working.

If you fancy I'm down Bank Holiday weekend and will be heading to Wales, probably CYB, let me know if you fancy it.

Sounds like a plan - Ally, what part of Lakes were you planning to ride in on Saturday and do you fancy making a weekend of it too?

I'll aim to take Friday and Monday off I think and come up to Scotland Thurs night.

Okay here goes

Three passes in a day, fairly simillar to what Shim abd I did a couple of years ago!!

Staveley to Garburn and then down to Kentmere and onto Stile End and Sadgill then upto Gatesgarth pass down and back up and over Nan Bield followed by approx 3.5 mile of singletrack back to the road and down to Staveley.

 25 mile and 5000ft - A Lakes Classic

Yep, sounds a cracker. I can't not suggest Kirry for Sunday

Anyone else up for either or both days?  I'll do a chicken curry ready for saturday night too if anyone's interested in dinner and/or stopping over.

Shim??

I'll probably ride Ae or Dalbeattie on Friday too.

Sounds like a good day out Dave. Rumour has it on stw that Gatesgarth is being sanitised atm..so could be a construction yard!!!!

Guys/Gals

Will be in Borrowdale at the weekend and was hoping to do the "Borrowdale bash" depending on the weather (if it's blazing will be climbing... but to be honest it's looking cack at the mo). Anyone got a good detailed link/pdf of the route, or to any other quality stuff in the area?

Cheers

Andy

Andrew, yes got the adaptor thanks - eventually anyway.

It was a smidgin over the new allowed thickness for a letter, so they didnt deliver it for the sake of 8pence on the postage!! (and then charged me a quid for the pleasure of paying the 8pence when i went to collect. Bloody ridiculous, but there you go.

AndyG, someone on here probably has the Bash as a memory map file if that's any use to you ... in the meantime have a look here: http://www.bogtrotters.org/route/showrouteframe.php?route=109

NB looks like there's a cheeky section of footpath out of Seatoller on this route - wecontinue up the (vsteep) road until it draws parallel to the bridleway (west of their map), then double back down the bridleway

Cheers - not got memory map (must do so I guess - seems quite useful). Have done bits of this route - just need to join it all together!

Hey John, I'm sure they would walk if it was a FP anyway

So ... Saturday, what time shall we meet in Staveley?
