Hi guys. Good to see you are all riding. My bike is busy gathering dust tbh. Seem to have been in pain on & off for the last 3mths for one reason or another. I am either cut to pieces or straining muscles & joints. The latest is a seriously twisted right knee. Tried to clear a ball that was near my right shoulder and when i needed my standing foot to move it stuck fast in the ground. I hit the ground like a sack of spuds So we have now played 3 games (1 friendly and 2 league games). We have won both league games so top of the league. I unfortunately have manged only one complete game so far though. Thankfully they have been different injuries so once my body gets the hang of this cardio workout i am thinking the injuries will stop. I am also one of the coaches for Bens football team now so thats my saturdays gone as well. Untill we meet again, keep enjoying yourselves lads

Hopefully he'll make a full recovery Where did he come off John do you know?

only know whats there Dave. Been quite a few recently and A&E/ambulance people are not happy, wanting biking banned . Mate at work was up recently and got the third degree and a bit of a hard time re resources being taken up with people who are inflicting damage upon themselves etc, etc, blah, blah........................

John - thanks for a great tour of Durisdeer yesterday. It was exactly what I needed after such a long time of very little biking due to work and family stuff. Really enjoyed myself yesterday. Re. the A&E stuff I suggest ignoring any suggestions that mountain bikers are a strain on NHS resources. Every time I pass through A&E the drunks seem to be draining far more resources than the mountain bikers. It really annoys me when I read or hear stories suggesting that we should injure ourselves less. Incidentally at least two of the senior guys at DGRI are serious bikers anyway - as a department I think they are generally OK when it comes to sorting cyclists out. Hobo - sorry to hear of your recent woes, that string of injuries must be very annoying. If you fancy a gentle recovery ride when you're feeling better let me know and we could organise something after work.

Hi Andy, Not really that bothered about riding atm. The injuries seem to be one thing after another so i am either all scabby or limping for whatever reason. Its a limp atm. I have had Ben at Mabie a couple of times recently and he is much improved on the Blue route. I may be up for a ride at Newcastleton with the boys if you fancy it. The Blue there is a little more singletrack orientated but shorter, Its quite good fun. I read about that guy who hurt himself at dalbeattie. Still no word on where exactly it happend though.
A ride with the boys would be good, Andrew. Liam gets to ride his new bike on Friday (his birthday) so he'll be dead keen to be out on it as much as possible. I think I'm going to have to get him a full face helmet - he is constantly trying stuff he just can't do yet.
Ohhh Andy, Bens new bike has been in the loft for about 2 mths now. I am so tempted to just give it to him but Jo would kill me as its for christmas. His current bike is way to small. What did ya get him? Its bank holiday weekend this week so i think i could muster sunday if you fancy it?
Dalbeattie incident = crushed vertibrae & something else broken. Sounds like Terrible Twins may have claimed a victim Cheers AndyE..OK for Wed 16th? Another local or away day? AndyK..it`s just a phase you are going through, the mojo will come back. I have the same issues with sqaush, want to play but the body says don`t be daft. But I probably will. Sunday. I have granddaughter staying over(got grandson till Sat)so might come along with her on tag-along if you are going and it is dry. Doubt if she would enjoy the tyre spray

Cool John. Just need Andy to confirm now.
Any of you guys got an X Box? If you want any free time i suggest you dont get one Blooming addictive
Brilliant riding at the weekend - sadly it seems a while ago now. AndyEcc - like I said at the time, I was remembering that ride all the way home . Andrew, hope your injuries clear up. Can't see you staying off the bike for too long ...

Morning chaps. The new bike is a Ridgeback MX20. Liam really wanted another Specialized but they're impossible to get right now. In fact the Ridgeback looks as good with similar kit and he's really happy with it. I'm working on Sunday but off on Monday if that's any good? John, Wednesday 16th is looking good - I'll get back to you to confirm.
Will check for monday. I think Jo wanted to go to some animal farm with the kids though. I looked at them Ridgebacks and they look good. Seen a few reports on them on STW and get good reports. Liam will be flying now he has gears. 10k on a rigid singlespeed must be hard work when you think about it. Happy birthday to Liam btw.

Did anyone kick mud in your face at the top of Nan Bield? Did you find the piece of Andy Eccs helmet that blew off? Why is Dave riding on the side of the track? Naughty naughty
No, no-one that evil was around this time AndyEcc's lid was long gone, but lives on in our memories. Dave was on the side of the track to aid the composition of the picture
Not only to aid the composition but also because I was ping ponging all over the bloody place and seen as I cleared Garburn with the minimal of dabs and no pushing I was aloud to!!!!! I really could not get any rythm going on that climb for some reason. Just had a bit of gravity fun at Hamsterley tonight they've added some nice new bits to the DH course. CYB on Saturday
