Ask saintly, i dont know what riding with a head light is like ;-/

Sounds good hobo I am keen to have a look at it no harm in that is there.lol

Majik have a look at www.therush.uk.com Tony's the main guy from their and very helpful. Jedburgh is almost in your neck of the woods well north east anyhow.

Yes bar mounts and helmet are the best idea but have managed to do newcastleton with just a helmet and just bar mount. See how you get on with the one then you can upgrade later.

The guy at the rush also lets you go out and test them so he is definately worth a call.

Shocking isn't it hobo you buy all the kit and then the lads you go out riding with nick it all to test out. tee hee.

*looks around* am I allowed to join you then Hobo?

;o)

Cheers Saintly ...will get it done! Will have to come on night rides with more exprienced riders tho...so keep me updated if thats cool with you?!

Majik, there were 15 out on wednesday. Was weird watching all the lights dancing about in the forest.

Saintly is right the rush is fantastic.

Your welcome anytime majik. We have spoken to Tony and he is opening the shop late on tuesdays soon and as simon says they let you test lights.

Do a ride and go for a nice tea & cake after. I promise i dont have these periods all the time ;-)

Where exactly do you ride...will have to check out how long it'l take to get there. Carlisle from here is only about 3/4 hours

I have heard a rumour they have a video on the infa red camera of someone dancing in the car park saintly. Dont know who it could be ;-)

Where are you Majik cos Newcastleton is on the west side of kielder which is where the rush will doing the late night opening.
Show/hide user stats
Dancing I think it was more of a jig.

It was something else allright! No wonder ya got a hernia.

I am horrible with directions so basically any of the stanes sites and maybe some lakes rides when we can fit them in.
Show/hide user stats
The ullswater lake shore path at night that would be interesting.

Majik I think I remember you saying you were around gateshead. Newcastleton would mean you driving the A69 to Hexham then up to Bellingham and across to Newcastleton or a variation on that.

Its quite a trek cos of the small A roads but something to think about.

Hmmmm, that would be good if a little dangerous with the wet rocks. Its a much nicer section in the dry. I'm up for it though!!!!

I think gareth still has nightmares about that section on the high street ride on the hottest day of the year.

Once we get next week out of the way (I am still up for either Glentress or kirroughtree next weekend) maybe the next nightride could be somewhere natural. Skiddaw round would be ace and i am pretty confident on that one.

Or maybe Kentmere/Stavely way. The one in that book of mine you have simon. only 13mls but if i remember it was a nice ride. You have that gps thing as well so we shouldnt get too lost.
Show/hide user stats
Yeah, thats another one I want to do may as well be in the dark just for fun!

Swaying towards Glentress for no apparent reason other than the Cake's at the end.
Show/hide user stats
Glentress it is then. Just have to check dates etc.

I tend to get the pannini's myself. Gareth got maccaroni cheese :-( urrrgghh!

Right, well thats the next 2 wednesdays sorted. Kentmere in the dark. God that makes me nervous for some reason. Hope your gps works well

Skidaw/Glenterra beck is fun in the dark, esp if think of the drop off down to the beck :)

I knew you would be lurking. If you know it and are confident taking me and saintly round it we will get it organised. I know you are trying to make the mabie night ride so how about joining me and saintly on kentmere.

I will just about tag along to anything remotely do-able I trust you guys to not over tax me. This is based on the fact that you are tolerant of newbies, sympathetic to post op patients and exceedingly inspiring for night ride virgins.

In light of what is going on elswhere on the forum I can't believe how lucky I am to have found such an accomodating bunch of riders as you guys.

Thanks.
