Team Hobo weekend away sometime bunkhouse

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder(or some such olde worlde saying?)

"What i dont like is the lump of metal between the top & down tube."....that is the CEN certified bit of strenghthening to stop it breaking when I can afford my 150mm forks

"stretched dropouts".....see the thread on stw re the latest Merlin Ti bikes being built with same designat 6x the cost.

drop outs

Think Ikea test machine for opening/closing drawers or your van suspension test rig. All bikes will end up looking like the Pig when the CEN regs are enforced, even Aldi/Lidl/Argos bikes.

"More interested in how it rides.  Any comments john?" .....lets just say I managed to keep up with some dudes from down  the Cotswolds who are up for a weeks riding. We rode Mabie for 4hrs on Tues. Stangely my back did not twinge at any time, which is another reason I bought it after my Peaks 4hr ride without a twinge. Seems the geometry suits my shape. If I had some decent forks rather than the sticky, clunky Marz which I have then it would be even better.

I understand where you are coming from Hobo regards looks but I am more function over cosmetics + I quite like the engineering solutions, designs.

It's those lovely dropouts that I particularly like

plate steel/Ti = the new cowled/slotted drop out

Remind me not to do a hard night ride the night before doing a 4hr ride with Dave & Co the next day.

That was too painfull for me.  I could easily have turned back at Suprise View after 20mins.  Torture

On the plus side, the weather was great and the views awsome

Remember not to do a hard night ride before going out the next day with anyone but a beginner.................hehehe

Probably would have felt the same today if AndyEcc had been able to get out this morning. I went to the gym last night and did 1/2hr on cross trainer, 1/2hr run(on hills) followed by 1/2hr in the pool, finishing off with a sauna and 2 bottles of Newc brown........................

Todays match report

8 yellow cards

1 Red Card

4 penalties

Beaten 4-1

We didnt deserve to get eaten and it wasnt a dirty match.

Never seen such a shocking display from a ref in my life.  He just went barmy

Who got eaten???
Show/hide user stats

You would have thought someone had committed murder the way the ref was going about.  I had to tell him at the end of the match that in 20+yrs of football i have never seen a ref lose control of such an easy match in such an impressive manner.  It was astonishing.  We had players from both sides sticking up for opposition players because he was booking them.

With my record i am shocked i got away without a card

Piccies???

"With my record i am shocked i got away without a card"....was going to ask who got the red
