What a brilliant weekend ... thanks again Dave for another superb meal and D&J for all the planning and sorting and everyone else for being there and being such good company! Me and Mark did another round of Drumlanrig after you left (with the extra black loop this time!) and Mabie with AndyEcc this morning before heading home. Mark's starting work just about now :/ God knows how he'll manage - I'm pooped. John, thanks for the Gary link - btw he's supposed to have a pic in The Times tomorrow (Tuesday)

Well, just back from the physio to find out whats wrong with my knees. 1st thing he said when i dropped my kegs was WOW!! I asked what was up and he said my legs were quite impressive and asked what other exercise i did away from football. Must be bikers legs Anyhow, after a few checks and a bit of talk it turns out i have Patellar Tendonitis i(Jumpers knee)n both knees. Tbh from the discussions, unless i want to cough up big bucks and go to somewhere in Manchester to have all my running and movement assesed there isnt much they can do for it. Its mostly down to the physics of how i move and how my body is shaped rather than an injury The one good thing is that it wont get any worse as the chances of me actually damaging the tendon is pretty slim, i just have to put up with the pain. I have a list of exercises i have to do before playing and a few other suggestions to minimise pain relief. Looks like i will just have to put up with it or quit playing football again.

Here it is again, online Gary's pic - looked better in the printed paper though. It's the one that won the competition you posted a link to, John. Davey, do you know Gary, or are you referring to the dolphin or californian punk band of the same name? Andrew, knee problem sounds better than it could have been. Gary and Tom - great pics

Mike - I was a bit of photo nut in a previous life. Darkroom, enlargers, Medium Format cameras, all that jazz. So still take a keen interest in the really good photographers. Not as keen on Dolphins... like Neil more of a Tuna man And as for the Cali Punk bands, I am a fan of the Descendents. (my dog is named after the lead singer - Milo)
