I've been through the website. I've read the installation manual. I've looked on several website shops. Far as I can tell it only comes in one size. That one size will fit various tube sizes and a shim is available for smaller ones. Can anyone confirm or refute this?
I thought one SRAM mech covered 31.8 and 34.9 and there's a specific 34.9 one as well but that's just what I saw on a site somewhere.
I like the shifting of X9 but only use one on the jump bike now because I had trouble with the jockey wheels blocking. This mech was still working perfectly over the biggest sprockets even before I jet washed it. The smaller cogs were blocked with mud, fine gravel and grass.
You'd have to buy an after market cable set too, most workshop stocks of cable outer is Shimano.
I agree with the John though, that the SRAM front mechs really aren't as good as the Shimano one, and it's a bit of a waste of time, but whatever floats your boat :-)
SRAM's just too inconsistent in terms of price IMO for it to realistically compete with Shimano across the board. The X.0 shifters are more than double the price of XTR, as is the rear mech, but the cassette is the same price as XT, they need a more standardised hierarchy.
yep nearly £600 £180 between rear mech, shifers, cassette, chain, grips, post, stem, and bars £150 on brakes hayes el camino at crc £150 on the forks £10 on the b/b £5 skewers £30 on the chainset £50 on the pedals £10 on the tyres
