Sunday ride with Ashford Boy was epic (one Trek, one Maverick, one Specialised, one Boardman). Familiar and new places linked by new offroad sections. Four of us rode for five hours with only a tiny bit of tarmac. The man is the oracle of routes in Kent. And he has a metal hip that we nearly had to use to get a tyre off the rim but Sarah had a hair grip that worked fine. My low battery warning light was blinking when I got home so I re-energised with cold beef curry, Stella and half a pot of chocolate custard. KERCHING!

Please stop it. Even though its true I'm blushing

09:30 tomorrow? No-can-do! Wife's out and I've got the sprogs. We're free from 13:00 though..... Also - not related to bikes - Anyone fancy jumping into the Spitfire Minibus and heading to Tunbridge Wells for the Saxons night orienteering street event on 15th November? I've got 15 seats left!

 Rvt - I meant 09:30 Sunday morning.
What's involved with the spitfire thing ? Is it suitable for oxygen theives and does it involve beer?
The Spitfire Minibus belongs to me! It nomally follows this......... We all went to a night orienteering event in the minibus last year, in the snow. 'Twas fun! It involves a bit of jogging and looking at maps. Beer is optional. Not sure about oxygen theiving.....

Thanks to all who turned up for Sheryls birthday and the 'extensive' firework display. How on Earth am I going to top that next year? (Whyte E-120 I hear you cry!!!)
Thank you Sparky for a lovely birthday ride. I hope Sheryl enjoyed herself as much as I did. The champagne, pink fairy cakes and rockets were a truely extravagent touch (for a bike) but one she so rightly deserves.

Ok, how do you inner tube type riders put up with the constant punctures at this time of year with all the hedge trimming etc. In the 3 weeks I have not been tubeless all I am doing is fixing punctures, fitting new tubes, changing tyres to see if that makes any diffference. Checked tonight after ride yesterday with new tubes and tyres fitted and the backs gone all soft. AGAIN! Where's me latex?

You need some slime in your inners - works a treat

What happened to that tyre test extravaganza we were promised AB?
The tyre test might have been a bit tongue in cheek, but now tyres are getting there own back on me.
