You Boys are welcome to ride with us any time you like! You'll just need a bike, some Activ lycra, some decent lights, a thirst for guinness, a cleanly shaven face for me to give you a kiss hello and goodbye. Oh, and a sense of humour will help.
None of our lot know it's here yet, but we'll see if they catch on and save me a load of texting.
The interesting stuff will still be on yours, I guarantee it!
Ok, so it wasn't Hawkinge, it was Paddlesworth. Still, nice to ride from somewhere different and have a beer somewhere other than the Castle for a change, eh? (Even if the didn't have Guinness) :-(
Don't forget Activ dinner next Thurs 7.30 at Tim's Tapas.
Anyone up for a ride Sunday? Will prob be 10am Folkestone Tesco, but could change. Log on and tell us all, otherwise I'll need to pester you with a text.
Hi Debbie It was a good ride, but we actually only pedalled for an hour - Should have gone round again!
Regarding Thursday - There was a rumour going round last night of meeting up at 'Chambers' 18:45, for a couple of cheeky beers before the official kick off at 19:30.... If anyone else fancies this (and isn't going to work on the Friday) then leave a message...
Can't make Sunday morning but will be going out on Sunday afternoon for a dusk ride. Toby was interested, again leave a message.. Ta Ta Spice
Well done, Spicey - it's good to have you on the forum. It would be good to have you anywhere, actually. (Sorry, but am still at work and had no dinner!)
Doubt we'll make 16.45 thurs, but will join you asap at Chambers - sounds good.
Still checking whether I need to take James to rugby match sun am - Evie training at Folk. Will update here on whether we come with you or do usual 10am Tesco.
Yo Carl! Yes, I'm free to go biking, as Evie now at a friend and James rugby training at home. Poor Steve will be working in shop every Sunday now up to crimbo. So meet 10 am folk tesco tomorrow, OK?
I'll have to text the others who haven't logged on. Will you tell Dave or shall I text him?
I've just got back from waiting outside the fecking Roobarb and Mustard Pot since Thursday evening, but no one showed up. I'm cold, wet, hungry and I think I wet myself after I drunk all the water in my water bottles and a owl hooted and scared me. I feel that I wasted my time servicing my pushbike and oiling my sturmey archer 3 speed hub and chain with the finest goose fat I could, find only to be let down by a bunch of lycra clad riff-raff. It would never have happened in my day you know. I even purchased a set of all winter weather wooden brake blokes for the occasion, but have now thrown them on the fire to warm up.
of now to dry my woolen jersey before I trip over the damned sodden thing again
Great ride today! Mulled wine was good, too, thanks to our unusually ungrumpy bike shop owner! Check out a couple of today's pics on tha Activ website - acivfolkestone.com in case anyone doesn't know by now.
You're welcome! It was good to see stuntman standing in the doorway as we rolled in for our winter warmer ..... only sorry you missed the ride. Three of us were challenging your title down the "corkscrew"!
Don't forget, everyone, if you can come along to Chambers for a drink at 6.45 ish on thurs on the way to the meal at Tim's Tapas, it'd be good to see you.
Changing your name like the wind, I see Spicey! Sorry, I have swimming club dinner tomorrow, but if I can get my act together today with crimbo shopping etc, I could go for a belated birthday ride in the day, if you could? Sean may be up for it and poss Tim if he's not too busy...
