Hi Crusher - the A20 section is a bastard at any time of day due to the traffic and the footpaths from the A20 to Pedlinge are surrounded by pheasant pens that are guarded by a particularly miserable gamekeeper... Sounds good apart from that!

Captain, was good to meet up with you all yesterday... how many years has is been?? In a way I wished we'd stayed with you guys for the rest of the ride, although I know Chris (my mate) was keen to do our planned route. Will hopefully catch up with you soon.
See you at the provi at 7 then. Looks like it may be slippy and funny. Good route crusher, nice to see you have some uses. Are you alright with those new pedals?
Well there is still some improvement to be had, but give it a couple of........... years and all should be good, seven it is >
doh, can't join you boys tomorrow but have fun! needed mud tyres all round for the racing (and i only had one on the front) today at fowlmead - or foul mead as it was in that horizontal rain today! not sure if can make thurs either, due to kids stuff, but may make the castle after.

Hey Andy, decade and a half probably m8. Nice bumping into you after all this time. Look forward to seeing you again. Glad we rode saturday (even though it didnt go to plan). Weather wasn't looking nice on Sunday so did'nt envy the Fowlmead massiv at all. Will plan another ride from up there but on a different route to take us into areas not normally ridden on a Thurs.

These are the ACTIV biking Christmas meal choices. I will have a list on Thursday and need to start filling in your choices. Also I need money from those who have still to pay. If you want to pay the balance and get that out of the way then that's fine too.

Starter Chicory and Penstock blue cheese gratin Pork and juniper terrine with cornichons and chutney Crab cakes with saffron hollondaise

No china bus or chorizo in the plughole this time then?
Thanks Spice. First to respond. Put the ticks in the boxes on Thursday please.
Thanks for the ride last night Crusher. Did Adam stack it after we left?
Glad you both could make it As for Adam as luck would have it I took it easy on him, so he was able to put in a fall free performance, supposdly it's the first time hes kept it up all year, well so Laura said ?? and we were a Gamekeeper free ride so that was nice, and not a phesant in sight,
Crusher, do you fancy leading the Happy Group on Thursday? Not sure if I'm riding - our Babysitter can't make it this week so either Weasel or myself has got to stay home - boooo!
Yeah no probs, I can give it a go, ok so those of you that are interested, it's going to be twice round the green and into the pub, yep that sounds like a plan, allternatiy I will get the prof to joint lead and think something up on the night, roll on till Thursday
It's a good route a few of us have done it before! You might find yourself leading every week!
Twice round the green seems a bit OTT to me. I think you'd be better off with the other group. Once round the green before the pub is ample
Hey Captain, Yep the voice off experience rings loud and clear, once it is then.. Stuntman your scaring me I couldn't do that kind of distance every week, i'm not an extreme distance athlete you know, as I'm sure you would be well aware if you had followed me up any hills, mind you that would mean you would have to be crawling up on your hands and knees, roll on till thursday
I might drive to Green (300 yards) , leave the bike on the car, go to the pub and then get a taxi home. Actually, what's the point of putting the bike on the car... Is THAT lazy enough?
Good effort rvt. Here's something that you may find amusing (don't look stunt - we dont want you hurling yourself from a groundfloor window again trying to end it all)...

 Just to prove that we usually earn our time in the pub, and to answer question from Polka, here are the ride stats for the Thursday rides I made it to in the last two months. Stats are from my Garmin 705 using a donateware software package called SportsTracks that stores GPS and heart rate data. Interesting to see the difference in the moving time (>3 km/h) between rides. I have data back to June 2008 if anyone has trouble sleeping! Date Location Time Moving Time Climb (ft) Distance (km) Speed (moving km/h) 03/09/2009 Capel 01:42:00 01:11:14 +1,591 / -1,658 20.2 17.0 10/09/2009 Saltwood 01:55:13 01:23:27 +1,835 / -1,799 24.7 17.8 17/09/2009 Saltwood 02:04:05 01:32:06 +2,169 / -2,075 26.8 17.5 24/09/2009 Saltwood 01:56:00 01:25:02 +1,753 / -1,725 24.9 17.5 15/10/2009 Saltwood 02:07:23 01:24:56 +1,856 / -1,869 23.0 16.3 22/10/2009 Saltwood 02:00:30 01:44:07 +1,785 / -1,902 31.5 18.1 29/10/2009 Saltwood 01:56:50 01:36:01 +2,051 / -1,990 25.5 15.9 Total 13:42:01 10:16:53 176.5 17.2
