 I'm orf to the Data Centre at 10.30 tonight - will be w**king until 6am Tis 'orrible because I'm normally a 9-5 sort of person, not used to it!

I wouldn't be if I was working tonight! It's a swings & roundabouts thing here, if you do the spring one you work a short shift for the full money.

OK, it's not the weekend but I'm still working tonight..but you see I'm a 9-5er like, not a shift worker. 9-5 today, 11.30-3am tonight and then back in the office in the morning.... /end rant/

Hi Greenville Blimey fella, that doesn't sound much fun..... remind me - do you work in a path lab or something? (I'm sure we had a discussion on it a while back as my dad used to work in labs and then went into haemotology)

Ah, thought it was something like that. My dad used to be on-call to cross match blood for car accidents and the like (by hand/eye under a microscope after getting called at 3am and driving across London on his scooter usually) Tis not a job I would have liked... no fancy testing kits back in those days, get it wrong and it's um..er... serious! Anyhoo, I've finished for the night so will leave you to it mate. Have a good one and don't work too hard now..
