I'm definitely up for this one. Did it last year and enjoyed it. I missed the PP Hill Gorrick, which is a shame as they are good trails.

Hehehe that sure was a good course lots of fun, even if some of the climbs where short shape and painfully..!

I guess i do the 6hr one this year..

Just watch the 2nd part and notice that someone cheated (2.53 left on the clip) the shame of it and on film to... Maybe should get a large screem to show it at the event LOL..

With less than month to go the Army Cycling Union (ACU) have built on the success of last years event and bring you back to Porridgepot Hill Deepcut a popular GORRICK venue for some more great singletrack and a great course.

The arena is situated on a grassy field, with a long start straight running through the arena and off along the fast fire road start, then decending into a fast undulating piece of singletrack before a short climb along the Assault Course, don't worry you won't have to do this!

Then off you go along the Watership Down descent, fast, fun and furious finishing with the ridgline before it goes along a section of Tarmac for food, fuel and recovery, a short climb for a nice descent into hairy trees then on to Drop in Surgery which includes a technical singletrack section with Bomb Holes, Burms and a couple of rollable log jumps.

Then its a gentle climb along the fencline with Army Barracks and ranges on your right, before a nice gentle Climb up to a twisty section of Singletrack, some of you will know this from the Gorricks, heading of to the water tower at the top of concrete hill, then its Pants way down, named after is maker a series of switchbacks contouring a hill down to a fire road for more rest and recovery, before entering a long section of Singletrack called Pants way round, before getting back on some fire road up to the platue on Porridgpot. then its of to the fencline along the ranges for fire road and seven sisters including "No Quitting" after this section you head out on a lengthy fire road befor hitting ant hill mob and the hang over before getting back into the arena to start another lap.

The course has had a few changes this year, but it still remains a great course at a popular venue, the event is sponsored by Giant, who are bringing their full demo fleet for you to try and Generation Sports and Cycles, along with our supporters Mulebar and For Goodness Shakes who will be giving out free drinks and bars to all riders. Dirtworker are providing some spot prizes, Superstar Components will be there along with Extreme Medics and Timelaps.

So why not come along and give it a go, Event Photographer, Catering, Water and Toilets available on site all info at,

Where is Surrey?

Alsoo you have to partake in a big group shower with the army boys afterwards? ...I'm not down with that.

Thanks for the offer but I can't get the bike out of London on a work evening due to trains not letting bikes on during rush hour. I did it last year and it was grand. I know there are new trails this year though. Hopefully without the landmines and snipers this time. Should be a laugh.
