Who has ridden an on one? are they that good or are they really a load of crap?
I am thinking of buying one, but have a nagging doubt that they are really shiite, and no one wants to admit that they are, in case they get picked on by all the cool kids. A modern case of the emperors new clothes.
I really like how mine rides - yes, something like the Cove Handjob is better but more than double the price.
Decided to build mine after about 10 minutes on someone elses but there lies the problem - it's almost impossible to test one unless you know someone with one already or live somewhere near Doncaster.
It was 'Arrys fault, he had his gloves off to moisturise his hands.
I have never been so pleased to own a GPS as that day. The thought of getting lost and spending the night in prime midlands dogging territory doesnt bear thinking about.
Anyways, I have 2 On-Ones, an ordinary S/S and an 853 geared, and can't really say a bad word about them. Almost bought a Cove Handjob but Brant found the 853 in a cupboard in the Doncaster warehouse (2 weeks after telling me there would be no more 853 gearable Inbreds built) which was £150 cheaper.
They are as cheap as chips BUT ride as well as/ better than bikes twice/three times the price. I believe that is what Brant set out to do.
*wanders off singing 'Yorkshire, Yorkshire.......'*
I've got an In-Bred and running it as a SS. In my mind it's bloody brilliant, the best bike I've had since a '95 Kona Cindercone - handles ups and downs really well.
*Just wish I'd got an Il Pompino at the same time *
