I am what you would call a freestyler. I've got more fingers in more pies than Joe Horner. I am currently concentrating on my careers as a Pro XC Mountain Bike Rider, a Distance Runner and my music career as a DJ/Producer/Musician. My ultimate goal in the future is to become a rally driver (hopefully in 2008) and to progress into the WRC by 2013. No comment required at all. ---------------------------- Edit; after reading the STW thread and seeing his photo, I do think that the guy is possibly not Mensa material and we should maybe stop taking the piss here.

I considered it, but just didn't have the heart Quinny.

can you link to the STW thread?

Sadly he missed the last round of the Midland series. I really hope he does get really fit and turns up and the next one and at least finishes, dare to dream...

I need to be careful what I say Gav, it seems I've not got too many friends on STW. If only he'd had a mechanic who knows what he's capable of!

Aye, I noticed Nick. Despite as you said, you were probably the most helpful to the guy at the start of the thread. Oh well, why let facts stand in the way eh ? Whether he's not the full shilling or not; as some STW posters said - this putting your heart/desires/photo's/stupidity on the internet for all to see without a moments consideration does seem a bit worrying. Especially when kids probably think it's the norm these days, and don't think about the repercussions which can have unpleasant consequences.

I did mean to put a smiley after my last post I should probably add, before someone thinks I was serious It is worrying how much you can learn about people from the Internet, why do some people feel the need to shout their entire life story! k

The new aggressive stance does not sit will on STW Nick.
|
 |
Look chaps, you can take the piss all you like, but who on here has got sponsorship deals from a major crisp brand, soft drink brand and mobile telecom operator to back them? Kudos Richie, Kudos.

It is worrying how much you can learn about people from the Internet, why do some people feel the need to shout their entire life story! k I would like to think it's not that everyone is suffering from narcissism, but more it's just the 'way' these days. For our age group, sharing photo's from a trip is possibly as far as it goes - using technology to pass on info that in the past would have been difficult. Then again the whole myspace/bebo/twitter/blog crap works on the assumption that anyone gives a f**K on who you are. The fact that these supposedly computer savy people wonder why some information they posted has been 'discovered' by others it wasn't intended for, does make me despair for their stupidity/the future of the human race. 'but, why should I be sacked, cause I wrote something bad about my firm/boss on my bebo account'. Swiss Euthanasia clinic is that way ..... form an orderly line please ....
|
 |
As an aside....can you imagine how diificult it must be to keep something secret these days when almost all communication is done via technology controlled by big corporations. People talk about secret e-mails being made public, but have you any idea how many people outside of your company, can access your private e-mails?

"The fact that these supposedly computer savy people" That's part of the problem. They're NOT computer savy, not at the level the media would want you believe. They know how to use their social networking sites, forum, MSN etc but they don't understand how easy that information is to find and then move around.
