The 'Eddie the Eagle ' of MTB.

Not quite.   Eddie actually represented the country in his chosen sport.  This lad has no chance.

Slightly unfair....he's already a semi-Pro, who knows where he'll be once he's mended his brakes?

ah, but you have to consider his Rally Driver/DJ/Musican/Producer Glamour Photography careers as well.  He may just have to stay as semi-pro for a while yet.

Can you call yourself semi-pro if you don't earn any money from it?

Anyone else no; but with his F1 approach to training/racing I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here.

Does the F1 apprach involve being given a colonic by a hooker dressed as a Nazi?

Maybe he's going for Jenson's F1 approach?

Going from a ridiculed lightweight at the back of the grid, to record equalling leader of the pack!

Nah the Jenson Button approach would be...entered F1 as a stratling young talent, made some impressive races then got a bunch of shitty luck for a few years before finding a team that could give the car he's always needed.

I wouldn't say earning millions every year would be my definition of shitty luck.

I've plenty of tools, and experience of fixing brakes, but my hourly rate would be way too high for him.

Get with the program - he's a Pro now according to his Myface/Spacebook page.

I rode 22 miles tonight and was greeted with an ice cream at the end of it.  I'm saying I'm a pro from now on!
