Will you be driving a buggy between hits whilst undertaking this particular form of exercise?
No buggy, there will be some semblance of exercise. Ish.

there is a lot of pleasure in hitting a ball out of the middle of a bat as hard as you can

I used to play a golf game with my dad when i was younger.  We had a massive sports hall at our school and me & my dad would play a game of kinda 'wallie'.  You hit the ball as hard as possible against the wall and then ducked when it bounced off.  The other had to then get to the ball and hit it against the wall etc.  Great game and we had laughs for hours at it.  Untill i hit it when he wasnt looking and cracked him right under the eyeball with a ball hit at full pel with a 2 iron from about 15yds away

We called a halt to it from that point and returned to playing 'wallie' with a football.

Oh and my brother has ONE dimple on his right cheek.  That was caused by a golf club that i was handling at the time going straight through his cheek.

My springer spaniel also ended up with a few teeth out because i hit the ball straight in her gob once.  That want really my fault, she tried to catch a drive with a 3 wood from about 10ft

I dont play golf these days

when I used to work near Banbury we had a driving range with sheep grazing 250 yards out, they make great targets, pretty thick though they would just move 5ft to the left or right when you hit them.

I also managed to hit the same bloke twice on the same hole . First on the drive at about 270 yards and then a cracking three wood onto the green wacked him on the knee. the bugger threw it in a field

Hitting Golf balls with a proper baseball bat is great fun...they trash the bat, but go for hundreds of yards!
