Can anyone recomend any realtivly cheap (i.e not gore tex) waterproof trousers as I'm fed up og getting wet commuting to work. I'd probably prefer bibs cos theres lass chance of it getting down my back

Have a look at a pair of 'Cascade' over trousers made by Altura.

My pair have been great for commuting and off road too. Fully breathable with big zips to get your boots in by and reflective trim for £40.

They come a fair way up your back too.

dont bother with waterproof trousers...you'll just sweat yourslf wet in them....take a look at endura mt500 long tight theyre excellent for riding in wet weather.....

I don't find them sweaty at all, which was a nice surprise.

YOu can also get them from Wiggle and various places online.
I have the Cascades too. They are a bit sweatier than no overtrousers if you are going for it (surprise) but they aren't bad at all for commuting.

I ordered the cheap 2000 waterproof trousers from wiggle and then they didnt arrive today as they shoudl adn when I checked my e amils they had sent me one saying they didnt have any. I'm only gonna use themfor my commute cos I hate putting wet trousers back on after a long shity day at work
