I just bought some sigma mirrage's, 20W/5W. I have an idea to replace the lead acid battery when it dies/i get pissed off.

I looked at the prices of NiMh cells and am now confused... looks like I could get 10 1800mA/hour, 1.2V, AA cells for 25 quid, lash them together and have a 12V, 18A/hour battery.

this must be too good to be true...

I too have the Sigma's - replacing the battery is an option, but I would love to get a higher powered bulb in the flood. The 5W is just not enough really. Anyone know how I could go about doing this!

The 20W spot is good for revenge on drivers though... just angle it slightly upwards!

84 is cool.
50w for £30 is FAB!!!

i seriously considered the sigma sports but the battery life put me off.

i thought hi-tech battery cells cost a forture.
ive ende up putting my SLA battery in my rucksack. only bonus point is i keep my bottle cage free. ill need a drink cause the temperature around my bike is probably gonna be a few degrees more than the environment. hahaha

daniel, i have no transport to dalby unfortunately. people either have a car or a bike, cant afford both.
how far is dalby from pickering, does pickering have a train from york with bike storage?
bugger, i broke my plastic handlebar mount. i'll have to sort a metal one out now.

tested the lights tonight off-road.

this jogger came towards me and i couldn't make out any features on his face!!!! i now see why two lights would be better than one. one for flood and one on the ground (spot that wont blind people you pass!)

i do feel sorry for the jogger, and even more sorry that i couldn't hold back a little snigger as i passed him!!!
