you could even get some of the funky water shedding ones, never tried them, so I don't know how well it works, but souds like a damn good idea in principle, and they're still pretty cheap
I like cycling shorts with BLACK leggings over the top and "maybe" a pair of Fox/Roach/Kona shorts over the top of that if it's muddy (and it always is up here).
the fact that tracksters look shit is indesputable, but they're cheap, they work, and you can't see what they are once they're covered in mud anyway ;-)
the mt500 tights are excellent...since ive had mine ill never be without them....soooo comfy and so good that im gonna get myself a second pair as I hate getting chilly but they do seem to be winter/autumn specific as they get too warm otherwise
Recently (it's not been that cold) I've been wearing the 3/4 Endura tights with some fox shorts over the top, when it gets really cold I'll go back to my Roach "freeride" trousers. You can get the trousers in plain black so they don't look too downhilly...
