Enduras are good. They keep your feet well warm but fall off if there's a bit of a walk.
But best only for night rides 'cos you'll look like a 6 foot tall pixie in them.

Put toe studs in your shoes, then cut (or let the studs wear) a hole in the overshoes - that usually keeps them on...

I agree, Endura Road overshoes work well, they last me two winters and work even in snow, unlike my SPDs!

where the hell did this come from.

anyway On one over shoes are much cheaper and you will soon get fed up with them in anything but the worse weather.

Why am i typing this, the chances that the original poster has not yet bought his over shoes in 7 years is remote, plus i doubt he will be back to check his over shoes.

This could be the beginning of the overshoe revolution! You thought the debate was dead and buried but that'll teach you for getting involved with this malarkey in the first place. How about sealskin overshoes, if they're good enough for eskimos then who said fish don't need bicycles.

had trouble with Alturas which had velcro fastening under the shoe and kept falling off.

I've got the Addidas ones now and they work much better. I wear them on the wrong feet though, so those horrid large stripes are facing the bike and they are easier to do up. I think the enduras are similar.
