Intenses seem *really* nice, but *very* expensive. I was after a pair when I got my Big Hit, but they couldn't get the 3" in any time soon, so I ended up getting Kujos.
.gif) still got it eion and is it 26" or 24"?

Yes, but it's up in Scotland at the moment, being packed up and shipped next week - 24x3" rear, 26x2.65" front. Pictures on yorkthrash.
Oh, if anyone who works for Alpine Bikes in Aberdeen is reading this, *please* take extra especially good care of my baby! Cheers.

.gif) want to sell the 3" one? or the 2.65"?

Nope. Moving to California - lovely and dry for most of the year (snowy for the rest though), a 4000-foot (ish, haven't measured) fire road/singletrack descent behind my house (for starts)... it's going to be fun :¬) - I'll try and get a digicam so I can post pics.
Chain Reaction are doing them for £50 a pair (unfortunately, a pair -> two tyres of the same size, so I paid £60 for mine).

OK, the point of that being that Kujos work well in the dry, so I'd be silly to sell them.
Still looking for a good home for my Comp16s, though...
.gif) wots the wear like on them, wot size are they, they ok to run on the front and how much?

Wear? Very little - remarkably little, given how soft they are (you can still see the moulding marks). 2.2" by 26". Not front or rear specific, IIRC - certainly one of them was on the front of my bike. Grip like nothing else I've ever tried - amazing in the mud (a revelation coming from Tiogas). Useless if not pointed straight down a hill, cos they're too sticky (and the hill needs to be fairly steep, at that :¬). Price? £45 the pair, negotiable. But I'd rather not post them - they don't fold up - so if you're outside of London... well, I dunno. Posting them will be expensive.
Sorry for the selling, guys.

.gif) mmm , well i do live out of london, scarborough to be blunt, i'm after something a bit bigger to be honset so i'll have to pass but thanks for the offer, still 45 quids gd price for them :S

Got my maxxis Swamp thing from my LBS. Most LBS prolly can get em if you ask.
Maxxis are distributed by Raleigh (who also distribute a suprising amount of other stuff) so most(?) shops should be able to get them for you.
Which Maxxis would you recommend for Dh/FR, they sound interesting!
High rollers. insane amounts of grip down the side.
some people run a mix of high roller and mobsters...
either way great tyres, not overly cheap
i'm thinking about now getting the Panaracer FireXC pro, 2.1, which is as big as i can go on the back, but i'm gonna take a look in my local bike shop n c if i can get the XC for the back and the DH in 2.3 for the front (wanna go as beefy as i can up front for more grip...
have you tried the conti Traction 2.1? it grips pretty well apart from sticky mud when it doesnt clear to well. you can get them for £13 for the standard model.
 High Rollers are real good
Mobsters are a bit sketchy, but in the dry they're not bad at all
btw, maxxis tend to be a bit on the small side. 2.5 is more like a 2.3 for example.

High Rollers are real good (soft compound should get them close to Intense.

I've got a pair of 2.1 mobsters for 32 quid if anyone is interested.
