Have a CatEye which has worked well for 5 years but is now playing up. Intermittent problem - sometimes going over a bump stops it from working. Think it has something to do with the metal contact points on the back.
Functions required -
Pulse Distance Current Speed Top speed Calories used
Another option is to just get a simple distance / speed computer on the bike and use another heart monitor that I already have.
Recommendations welcome.

PS Does anybody produce a resonably priced pulse meter with a dual timer (e.g. 3 mins with 1 min intervals) for interval and boxing training?
I currently run a cateye enduro speedo and use a polar M51 hrm - works well and has all the functions you need bar the dual timer
I would recommend you send an email to Cateye in america saying you have a problem with their kit - they seem to be very helpful, I emailed them after losing my enduro off the bike (came out of the clamp) and after 3 or four emails decribing the problem they sent me a new one - NICE!!
Hi All First post to this esteemed Brains Trust... I have a Giant TCR ONCE roadframe, w/ flat bladed carbon forks. Anyone know of a fitting for a computer sensor that will work on these? Or is it a bodge job? Cheers!
Cateye cordless puters come with a flat blade mounting kit. It may be worth a scounge round your local shop to see if they have any spare kits, then you could expand your choice of computers
Don't forget to bribe the chaps in you local shop. When I was in a shop our favourite was doughnuts, my wheelbuiders, Stonehenge Cycles in Salisbury favour fig rolls.
Got a mate who's got one, works fine, although a tad on the large side, the downloadable option could be good if you want to take your training seriously - you can correlate heart rate to cadence and speed - and then plot the terrain ...?
