SRAM chains every time, the cheaper the better. PC-1 for my singlespeed bike, PC-48 for my downhill bike. Leave the powerlink in the packet (it always get jammed!). Fit the chain, ride and enjoy......

Actually I take the powerlink with me for a quick trailside fix.

It's easy to remove broken links with a chain tool, but I'd rather leave the putting together bit until I get home.

If something happens, I can pop out the bent links, stick the powerlink on and worry about rejoining the chain when I have cleaned it and put some dry clothes on.
