Has anyone seen any of the rare and somewhat oldish air-b inner tubes. Presta or schraeder valves? Not too fussed but wanting to get some please.

don't bother, I went through a phase in the early 90's of lightening everything, the Air-B tubes were the worst purchase I made, I had more punctures with them, than I've had in my entire bike riding life!

Settle cycles did have some a while back

I agree with Rob, I had more bad experiences with those tubes than with the cheap ones you get from LBS.

I also found that they lost pressure much faster than other tubes...

I bought some from one of those one day sales which tour the country. 3 for £10. However I haven't used them yet as I never get punctures in my cheap LBS tubes, so that must say something for cheap LBS tubes (DURO brand, as also sold under the GT brand)

the panaracer greenlites were a little bit better(and lighter), but ultimately not worth the hastle either.

Use them for racing only and you may feel like it wasn't a waste of money

i've used both sizes of air b for 2 years now and only had perhaps 5 punctures in all that time and i ride off road 3-4 times a week.

i found that i didn't get that many punctures but the valves broke real easy.

are they like those latex tubes? if so i only had one problem in about 2000 miles, hit some rocks at about 30 mph on my hardtail and the rear inner tube split about 2 foot tear....!

Anyway in my experience it is the tire that saves you from punctures, not the tube, a thorn will go through an inner tube no matter what it's made of! if it gets as far as the inner tube your gunna get a flat no matter what! oh and i've never managed to get a pinch flat either and i'm 200lbs!!! pretty smug i am really!
